The shinobi reality

Nightmare
a frightening or unpleasant dream.

We sat there for awhile, my eyes lingering on the Man's corpse, trying to memorize everything I could. I mean, I took his life. I may as well honor him by remembering his face. He had light brown hair with dark brown eyes. He seemed to be in his early forties by my guess, he wore a black body suit, a fur belt on his hips and a face guard with the Senju mark stamped into the center of the forehead. I shook slightly while Madara held me, gently rubbing my back. "Love.. it's time to go. Your eye needs to be patched up." I nodded slightly, clinging to the now sheathed kitana as Madara picked me up and we hopped from tree to tree in silence, Madara's arms holding onto me firmly. "When we get back I'd like to stay in your room. If you'll allow it." I nodded wordlessly as I relaxed against Madara's chest, his clothes smelled like a mix of Sandlewood and rose, a very relaxing smell. My eyes trailed from his chest up to his neck and finally to his face, taking in his worried expression. "Are you okay?.." I asked softly, Madara flinching slightly before looking glancing down at me, a bewildered expression on his face. "Of course I am. It's you I'm worried about." I tilted my head slightly, thumping it on his chest as I stared up at him. "Why are you worried? I told you. I don't regret killing him." Madara landed on a large sturdy branch as he looks down at me seriously, scanning my face for any indication of a lie as I stared back into his eyes. "Love.. have you.. have you killed before?" Madara questions, his brows furrowing. I shook my head slightly as relaxed in his grip. "Nope.. honestly it was frowned upon back home. We would apprehend people who did and lock them up for a long time. Our technical term for it was villains.." I trailed off slightly as I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath, shivering slightly when a ice cold breeze rolled through. Madara let's out a soft breath as he sets me on my feet before peeling off a dark blue overcoat I hadn't noticed he had on, helping me put it on before moving infront of me and crouching. "Hop on." A ghost of a smile appeared on my face as I hopped into his back, loosely wrapping my arms around his neck, setting my cheek on his shoulder as he got a firm hold on my legs, continuing our way back home.

I guess this is home now...

Once we arrived, Hideyo rushed me to my room as she babbled about how worried she was, me zoning out as I pictured Katsuki's reaction to the entire situation, not even flinching when Hideyo parted my hair and doused the wound on the back of my head, muttering about how it would scar. I felt my bangs move as Hideyo started to clean the cut over my eye before an off white gauze came into my vision, wrapping around my forehead and to the back of my skull, winding it around a few times before moving to my face and covering my eye, tying it tight before gently taking my face into her hands as she lifted it slightly, staring straight into my uncovered eye. "Can you hear me?" She questioned softly and I nodded, Hideyo sighing softly in relief. "Alright. It looks like your head was struck pretty hard. What happened?" I looked away slightly, speaking softly. "I don't know. I just remember going to bed and then waking up on that guy's shoulder with the pain.." Hideyo nods slightly as she moved behind me, seemingly pulling the hair that's hanging loosely from the gauze into a single loose braid. "Well, from the looks of it you were hit with the dull end of a tantō, probably in your sleep so that damn Senju could make a silent getaway. You have a large welt forming and a gash from it." I nodded slightly as Hideyo smiled softly, pulling me into a hug as she kissed my forehead. "You are a very strong girl lady (y/n). If I had a daughter, I would hope she's just like you." I smiled softly as I returned the hug, the two of us separating before she ushered me into the bed, tucking me in before patting my shoulder and leaving. I sighed softly as I sat up, running my fingers through my messy bangs as I looked out the window, the bright moon shining down through the surrounding trees. I sighed softly as I stared at the moon like it would dissappear my eyes welling with tears as they silently streamed down my face, my voice practically a whisper. "Why did it have to be me?.. Katsuki is the hero in the family.. I wasn't.. I didn't want to be a hero or a ninja.. I just.. I just want to eat ice cream at the park with Ayano again.. I wanna go see a cheesy romance movie with mom.. I want to sit and talk with dad about my day while mom and Kat argue.. I want mom's special curry.. I want.. I want my Nii-san.." I pulled my legs to my chest, laying my face on one knee as I kept my eye on the moon, my body shaking. "Maybe I would have taken over the family business and designed clothes.. or maybe I could have been an accountant or something.. I.. I guess in the end I did become a villain.." I wrapped my arms around my knees, turning away from the moon, burying my face in my knees as I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath. "I still don't regret it.. what's.. what's wrong with me?.." I whispered softly sitting in silence as if waiting for an answer, the sound of the door sliding open being my only response, followed by fabric shuffling approached before someone sat down beside me, pulling one of my hands away from my knees and holding it tightly. "(Y/n). Can you tell me more about your home?" Madara's voice softly said. I lifted my head up as I turned to look at Madara who just looked back. "Only if you hold me." I said in basically a wimper, Madara nodding as he pulled me sideways into his lap, our fingers still intertwined while I laid my head on his chest again. "What do you want to know?" I questioned softly, staring at our entwined hands. "Well, what ever you want to tell me." I hummed softly before responding. "Well, my family is a good place to start then.. I have a pretty Normal family, my mom, my dad and my brother. My brother, Katsuki is just like my mom. Loud and proud yaknow? The two would argue day in and day out. As you can guess, I took after dad." I smiled softly as Madara nods for me to continue. "See, our Shinobi are called 'hero's' that's what Kat was training to be. We don't start out as young though, we start when we're fifteen or so. We have a big school that teaches the new hero's called Yuuei, where the older hero's teach the new hero's. It's actually a pretty big deal back at home." Madara hums as he draws circles in my palm and I continue. "It was a pretty big deal for my parents that kat became a hero, they threw this huge party. They were so proud." I hummed in thought before continuing. "I had a friend named Ayano, she was pretty much my best friend. Anytime we got the chance we would just be idiots. I was so shy back when we first met, I couldn't even get a sentence out." I chuckled softly Madara smiling at me. I looked back to the window, my eye drooping slightly as I yawned softly. "I never wanted to be a hero yaknow? Though I never did figure out what I was going to be but.. I had time.. what about you?" Madara leans forward, giving me a gentle kiss on the forehead before looking at the window aswell. "Honestly? I just want the fighting to end. I had a friend, Hashirama, back when we were kids we would skip stones together. He turned out to be a Senju. Our fathers followed us to our meeting spot and put an end to it. We actually met the day it happened you know? It was as if the universe was answering my call to not be alone.." I smiled as I felt myself getting pulled into sleep. "Well, I'm glad I could be there. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't caught me. I'd probably have either broken my neck on impact or gotten eaten by something." Madara snorts softly as he holds me a big tighter. "I don't believe that for a second. You would have lived and found your way to me either way." I chuckled sleepily as I nodded. "Probably. I'm sure I would have fallen In love with you either way." I closed my eyes finally fading to sleep, not noticing when Madara's face exploded in various shades of red or when he covered his face with his hand in embarrassment.

------------------------------------------------------------

I opened my eyes slowly, seemingly in a room of black ink as a figure stepped through the black liquid, his ash blonde hair and red eyes matching my own as he sneered at me. "You're a fucking villain now? Tch. I should have known. You never belonged in this family." I flinched as I turned away, a familiar brunette with purple stripes down her cheeks emerging from the ink, sobbing angrily. "You ruined everything! You're a liar! You could have saved us! Saved everyone! But instead you ran! Like a coward!" I whimpered as I held myself, my body shaking roughly as both a child and an adult emerged next, both being obito in his young and old form as they glared hatefully at me, the young obito taking the lead. "You were our friend! We trusted you!" My body tremored as I shook my head furiously, tears now free falling from my eyes as I dropped to my knees. "N-no you don't underst-" older obito cut me off with a scoff as he crossed his arms. "Don't make me laugh. You could have saved Rin and prevented EVERYTHING. No one else would have died. It's all YOUR fault!" I sobbed loudly as I buried my face in my hands. "P-please stop! I tried damn it! I tried!" I hear a pair of footsteps as my eyes flash up, the color draining from my face as I saw Kushina and Minato standing there, matching holes in there stomach, Kushina holding a baby Naruto. "You could have helped everyone little dove. But you didn't even try." Minato just shook his head as he looked away from me to the new figure emerging from the ink. I made the mistake of turning and looking. The new figure had long greasy lime green hair, and dulled lavender eyes, the man had quirk suppressing gear on and he wore an orange jump suit, the chains leading from his wrists to his waist and then split off, connecting to his ankles. The man growled animalisticaly at me, his eyes a dark glare that seemed tinted in bloodlust as I scrambled back in fear, the man approached with an evil smirk. "Don't remember me huh? It's no surprise. I was only five when my life was ruined because of you." I shook roughly as I looked to the ground, gripping my hair tightly. "N-no.. Yuuta.." I heard the rattle of chains come closer, black shoes appearing in my vision before my chin was lifted, the man smiling sweetly at me. "You do remember then! That's good!" His hand slid down my jaw and to my neck as he tightly grabbed ahold of my throat, standing up and bringing me with him as he gave me a closed eye smile. "Go ahead and die alright? You can't mess anything up once you're gone." I gripped his hands, the pressure on my throat being tight as I coughed and gagged, clawing at his hands to let go, my eyes wide with panic as I spotted Madara emerge from the ink, cupping his hands around his mouth as he yelled "(Y/N)! WAKE UP LOVE! WAKE UP!"

------------------------------------------------------------

I jolted awake, smacking my forehead against something as I held it tightly, profanities spewing from my mouth as I tried to soothe the ache and somehow figure out how to breath at the same time, someone pulling me to sit up as my hand was removed from my forehead and a cold touch gently rubbed the bump. I took a deep breath in, rubbing the tears from my eyes with my now free hand as I looked up to see a worried Madara, a prominent pink mark on his forehead. "M-madz?" Madara sighed softly In relief before pulling me to him in a tight hug, gently rubbing my back. "Finally. You were having a nightmare. It took forever to wake you love." I felt the boy shaking as I quickly returned the hug, holding him tightly to me. "S-sorry.." Madara chuckled softly as his hold tightened. "You're fine love. I've got you." I smiled softly as I relaxed in his grip, tears filling my eyes again as I relaxed, Madara speaking softly again. "I love you too (y/n)." My face went beet red as I buried my face into his neck, Madara's low chuckle echoing through the room.
