Chapter twenty five

"Avery"? Looking down at Connor my heart racing with fire I haven't spoken or seen him since that day. Not saying a word as I passed our cubicle, I came to work today for one reason and that was to try and convince Karen to drop this entire article and move on. There was no way I was letting this article out and destroying what Harry and I have. I thought long and hard when I was laying in bed last night I couldn't do this to Harry not after spending this much time with him, I mean I love the the guy.

Not knocking and walking right into Karen's office. "good morning Avery, how was your trip"? Putting my hand up standing in front of her, I really just wanted to slap her face! For coming up with such a stupid idea to find shit out about celebrity's. "Avery, you alright"? Nodding my head I could feel my face becoming warm with anger.

"No I'm actually not! Thanks for asking"! Practically yelling at her nor really giving a fuck! "I can't write this article for you" nodding my head like a crazy person. "I've spent a lot of time with Harry and you can't do this"! Watching as her face turning into a smile. "you can't do this" my voice in a whisper.

"Oh Avery, you sound like you must have fallen in love. Am I correct"? Taking a seat I placed my head on her desk feeling like I was falling apart. "uhh I'm taking that as a yes"? Her voice changing tone. Of fucking course it's a yes! Who wouldn't fall for Harry fucking styles? Can I rip out my heart now? I'm really tired of feeling like this!

"I don't know"! I screamed lifting my head off her desk. "I don't know what the hell I'm feeling"! Mentally cursing myself for getting this far. "all i know was just a couple weeks ago I was asking Harry questions about his life for my article, then I'm standing at the airport almost in tears because he was heading home and I was heading back here to ruin our relationship"! Nearly in tears explaining. "Harry fucking styles asked me to be his girlfriend! I thank you for that because I wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to even come close to him"

"So what I'm getting out of all this is that you want me to tell you to stop writing your article about Harry styles, because you have fallen in love with him and don't want to hurt his feelings"? Exactly! "Oh Avery, you know Harry won't ever find out about your article, none of them read that shit. For your relationship with him I did tell you not to fall in love with him. Didn't I"?

"Can you please let me give all my information over to someone else and they can continue it for me"? Practically begging. "I've got most of it written, I'll just give them the rest of what I have and you can publish it in their name" if I knew I could find another job I would quit right now and burn the fucking thing!

"Like you just said Avery, you have most of it written. Continue with it and then hand it in, I'll go over it and think about publishing it. Ok"? Shaking my head knowing this is the only option she's going to give me! "I'll see you next week with the finished article. Standing up making my way out of the office knowing I was fucking toast!
