Chapter 7

Later that week me and Draco did not talk at all, I was pretty busy planning with Hermione for Fred and George's party that was coming up. They mentioned to me that they wanted it to be a playboy bunny theme since it was coming up on halloween. I remember the conversation vividly the first time they mentioned the theme to me since they were wearing bunny ears whilst sending out their invitations to a bunch of the students. On that Thursday the day before the party that Fred and George were throwing Me,Hermione, Luna and Ginny decided to head over to a muggle city to buy some outfits for the party. Luna and Hermione found what they wanted to wear pretty fast as Luna picked out a pastel purple lace coverup that was see through and a off the shoulder purple dress that matched the cover up. And she found these bedazzled mini bunny ears that she wanted to wear with it. As Hermione was picking out her outfit she was talking trash about the theme of the Fred and George's party.
"We are children, why do they want us to be dressed up like that? " Hermione would mutter under her breath as she looked through the garments in the stores.
"Cause they're horn dogs." I would joke responding to Hermione.
Ginny pitched in mentioning that it was a bunny theme but since Fred just wanted to see hot girls in lingerie he added the playboy in front of it as she would laugh in disgust. But Hermione did find something in one store , she found a red jumpsuit with a red bow tie to match and some basic black bunny ears to go with it. As me and Ginny were looking around through stores i decided i wanted to go a little more risky with my outfit choice. I pulled out a black lacy lingerie piece with some fishnets to go with it. I got a black and white boy tie and some basic black bunny ears just like Hermione's, I also picked out some black heels I wanted to wear. As i finally put this outfit together Ginny looked at me surprised and said" Dang you are going to be dropping some jaws tomorrow " she laughed. I laughed back at her and responded " that's the plan". Ginny got tired of not finding anything that she was in love with so she just picked out some basic pink bodysuit and tights with the matching ears.
Next day came around and we were all getting ready in Hermione's dorm room. Luna got dressed the quickest so she was mostly just chilling on my bed playing with my chimes most of the time. As I was putting my makeup on I did a winged eyeliner and put some lashes on. I didn't do much eyeshadow but I did put some lip gloss on. I put my costume on and I ran my fingers through the curls in my hair and placed my bunny ears on top of my head. Ginny was blasting some rock music while we were all getting ready so i was silently dancing in the bathroom as i was looking to myself. Hermione walked in on me as she was already ready as well and just started at me. I could already sense that she wanted to throw a sweatshirt on me like a mom just by looking at her eyes.
"Cute" she commented looking like she wanted to kill me or kiss me at the same time.
"Likewise " I smiled back at her while redoing my lipgloss.
"Mind if i borrow some ?" She asked pointing towards my lipgloss.
"Of course" i responded handing her the lipgloss once i was done , i started waking out of the bathroom towards the rest of them as i see Ginny on the floor curling her hair. She looked back at me and asked " y/n, can you get the last strands in the back ?".
"Of course i responded " and i walked up to her and grabbed the curling iron from her hand and started finishing her hair. As he the last curl strand fell onto her back I turned the curling iron off and put it up on top of my dresser. Hermione walked up to me handing me back my lipgloss.
"Thanks " she said, I looked down at her lips and you could tell she took some time making sure they shined.
I smiled at her and tossed my lipgloss into one of my drawers and looked back at the rest of them.
"Ready " I asked them as I was seeing they were all sitting around our room.
Hermione looked at the clock and yelped "We're late!". She quickly jumped up off her bed and started heading towards the door. I laughed and responded " that was intentional ". Hermione looked back at me and asked " why?". I smirked and just continued to walk out towards the door. Fred and George spelled their dorm room to only being accessible if you had a certain code plus they made the whole dorm room into like a penthouse ,2x bigger than usual for the night. So as we were walking up to their dorm room i saw George standing out by the entrance with Angelina just holding a drink in his hand and just chatting. As he heard us coming he moved his head and just smiled.
"Hello Ladies.. And Ginny" He laughed
Ginny looked up at George ," I am a lady George " She pouted.
He looked down and responded " Not to me " He laughed. Ginny slapped his arm and we all started smirking,George finally said " Hoppity Hop" and a door appeared right next to him.
" In you go" He motioned, leading his hand in the direction. When Ginny was about to step through, George stopped her and asked " for you it'll be 5 gallons". I looked back and laughed and grabbed Ginny's arm and pulled her in. There were lights flashing every color you could think off and music blasting playing a bunch of hard hits that just got you moving. As we finally got through the door I saw Fred and Lee standing off by the drinks laughing. Fred looked over at me and his face looked in awh. He started walking towards me and Lee finally looked too and started smiling. As Fred was walking up to me I started to meet him halfway, Hermione followed but Luna and Ginny went and walked off in a different direction together.
"Wow.. to the both of you , really stunning huh?" Fred laughed. He turned around and pointed to the drink bar and mentioned " Drinks are here if you guys get thirsty".
"What is it, juice..?" Hermione asked Fred looked down at her
" Sure.. go ahead have as much as you want" he said, smirking
Hermione looked off to the distance and spotted Ron and Harry hanging out in a corner.
"Oh there's Ron , i'll be over there y/n" she stated as she started to walk off. I laughed and just looked back at Fred.
" cute party" i laughed trying to break the awkward silence.
" you're cutter" he laughed as he winked at me, he placed his drink onto a table near him and grabbed onto my hand and pulled me into the middle of the room with him.
"Come on you're dancing with me" He laughed as he started to try to spin me.
" Oh but you better not be a trashy dancer" I laughed .
Fred gasped and started vibing to the music that was playing. We danced for a while and once in a while people would join us , Luna was dancing with Neville for a minute. Neville wanted to show her the tango , a new dance he learned and it was a huge crowd pleaser. Fred started to slow dance with me after a while since he wasted all his energy banging his head back and forth when the hard punk music would come on. After a while I was getting a little stuffy and told Fred that I was gonna go get some fresh air.
"Want me to go with you?" He asked
"No , no I'll be fine, I'll just be for a second " I responded as I tried to make my way through the huge crowd.
I finally reach the patio door and push it open , there was someone sitting on the chair out there looking off to the forest night and listening to muffled music but all the wildlife that was out there"
"Oh sorry" I said , since pushing the door made a loud bang and I guess I scared the person sitting outside.
They look back and I soon see that it was Draco , He was wearing a black tux with a white bow tie. He looked very dashing and had really expensive suede black shoes on.
As he looked at me his jaw dropped and his eyes lit up,He couldn't take his eyes off of me.
"You're such a loner" I laughed as I shut the door and leaned my shoulder onto the wall looking at him.
"Says you" he mocked
"You're always alone, doing something like always at night after hours" I laughed as I pushed myself off of the wall and started to walk towards to sit down in one of the chair's outside.
"Oh so you pay attention to me?" he said annoyed as he looked off into the distance.
"Not intentionally" i smirked
It got silent , I looked over at him and could tell something was bothering him.
"You know there's a party inside ? Party's are suppose to make people happier not make them pissy" i giggled
"Well you don't know the first thing about me" he muttered. I got silent , I just stared at his face and watched his eyes watching the tree's leaves blowing in the wind.
" No, no i don't" i whispered
He put his hand onto his face,"Exactly so st-"
" But that doesn't mean I can't learn." I whispered , interrupting him.
He took his hands off his face and looked back at me, I looked back out towards the tree's.
"Look Draco, I may not like you that much since you are always super mean to me but I think you put on an act you know? " i tried to explain, " no one just has that much hate in their heart for no reason.. I don't think you do".
I looked back towards Draco as he was just staring at me , He muffled his face and just looked down. "What is it?" he asked
"Excuse me?" I said , confused.
"What is it? What's it with you , you never get the hint." He explained , He inched his face closer to mine and said " You talk to me like i'm one of you're stupid friends, like i'm actually a somewhat good person when in reality all i am is a horrible person. So let me be this crappy person that i am and i've proved numerous times to people and stop , Stop! Trying to change me or fix things cause in reality it'll never get fixed. " His eyes glistened and he just started into my eyes watching to see what I'd say.
I was taken back but I finally inched my face closer to his and responded , " If you really think you are this crappy person then that's all you'll be in life. If that's how you want to be remembered.. You want your legacy? fine, be my guest but if you actually want to have some decency in your life then stop pouting and put some effort in Malfoy."
He stayed silent , and just watched my eyes staring back at him.
"Is that what you want ?" i asked " to be just a crappy legacy , to not have anything redeemable to your name.. ?To antagonize people making everyone else feel bad because you just feel bad yourself ? "
"If that's what i'm meant to be then yes, i don't need a bloody american trying to give me a therapy session." He mumbled, he grabbed the edge of his chair and tried to stand up. I grabbed onto his arm and pulled him down, "sit" i said to him , "Sit !" I yelled as he was looking at me not moving. I shot myself up out of my seat and inched my whole body closer to his with my head below his neck.
" Listen here Malfoy , you don't get to pout ok? You don't get to play the sympathy card. I might be new , or I might be american or whatever but that doesn't excuse me as a person just because i don't fit your standards as to what you think is good.. Or beautiful or whatever" I yelled at him while pointing my finger up in the air. He grabbed onto my hand hard and held it looking down at me into my eyes with an angered look onto his face.
"y/n i never said you weren't beautiful " He whispered to me angrily.
"Then prove it " I whispered back.
In that moment all I could look at was his eyes.His eyes were drawing me into them, into the blue like I was staring at the sky but then lips , his lips were the only thing on my mind. How much with all my might I had to fight the urge just to press mine up against his. I couldn't think at that moment. My heart was beating as I was staring up at his face and he was looking down at me processing what I had just said to him. His face started to get closer to me as he placed his other hand up onto my cheek. I started itching my head towards his but before i knew it i heard a loud bang.
"Woah sorry" Neville said as he opened the door. The door scared me , I jumped away from Draco as he jumped away from me as well.
"Fred wanted me to make sure you didn't fall off the edge or something " Neville said awkwardly.
"I hope you fall off the edge, just like your parents" Draco muttered towards Neville. Neville's face fell as I noticed and looked towards Draco in disgust.
"Seriously?" I yelled " you know what, forget it" I muttered as I walked towards Neville and grabbed his arm and walked with him back inside of the party. As me and Neville made our way back into the party Neville looked over to me.
"Want to talk about it?"He asked very awkwardly
I smiled at him and just responded " Nope , but thank you " As Neville started to walk off i grabbed his arm and asked him " If you could do me a favor and not tell anyone what you saw- well nothing happened or what you were about to see i'd.. Appreciate it ".
"What did I see..?" He asked, smirking at me.
I laughed and waved him off, as I was watching Neville walk away Hermione ran up to me.
"Guess what Ron told me!" She said, grabbing onto my arms pullin me back and forth. I grabbed onto her wrists to stop and asked " What?".
"He asked my why lips were glossy.." she responded very seriously
" ok..?" i asked confused
"How much of an idiot is he if he doesn't know what lip gloss is! Like he should seriously know these things or why is he questioning-" Hermione started rambling on as I finally grabbed her head and said " Hermione.. Chill " i laughed. She took a deep breath and smiled and responded
"Im fine, oh also i drank some of those juices Fred recommended and remind me never to take his advice again cause that didn't taste like juice"
I grabbed onto her arm and started walking with her, " Yea lets go sit down babe" i started laughing as we were walking.
Shortly after Snape got called on us and the party was finally busted up and everyone returned to their dorms. But that night was definitely one to remember in my book.
