Chapter 2

Hermionie showed me around throughout the castle , every room and she would spike information like little facts about and sometimes the facts would be fun facts about her which I thought were cute. She walked me back to my dorm room at the end of our little tour and said
"Here is our dorm room" She says " you got the bed next to me which is good just try not to keep my up "
" I'll try not too" I said with a little smirk at my face
"So uh , you are a y/n no?" she says as we walked back into the gryffindor common room.
" Yea " i responded
"Wow those are like one of the most famous wizards, never thought i would actually meet one" She says to me excitedly. "Well uh- here i am " i said as i sat down onto the couch and Hermione followed
"Why are you just transferring now, may I ask?" She looks at my confused " I mean being a y/n, most powerful families grow their kids into wizarding schools right away"
"Well my mom died and i guess my dad had a change of heart" i responded
Hermionie looked at me with ease " i'm so sorry, i heard about your father! He's quite a legacy here, seems like dumbledore really praises him "
"Yea, most people do"i responded to Hermione
"Wow , prouds to your mother , i haven't heard much about her, just that she married your dad which is kind of sad to think about-sorry i'm rambling i'm sure she was great. '' Hermione said calmly
"Yea she was a good woman " I started smiling looking down at my feet.
"Well hurry get dressed , you don't want to be late, i'm going down to go find Ron but just wait for me here and then we can head to Potions" she says as she stands up grabbing her books.
I wave her off and walk back into my new dorm room where I grab the clothes Dumbledore handed me off of my bed and quickly go into the bathroom to change. After putting on a grey crew neck with a white button up and a black skirt I slip on my white van. I walk up to the large mirror that is by Hermione's side of the dorm room and grab the Gryffindor tie placing it around my neck. I had never tied a tie before so I was really confused. I eventually gave up and left it untied hoping I could have Hermione do it for me. I walk out of my dorm room and make my way back into the common room to wait for Hermione as I see someone sitting on the couch. I recognized that it was one of the Weasley twins I had met earlier. He saw me walk out of my dorm room and his face lit up , he quickly stood up and said " can you not tie a tie ?" he pointed to my untied tie and he walked up to me and says" do Americans not know these things? " as he grabs the tie and starts to tie it for me.
"Thank you-" i was struggling to remember his name
"Fred" he responded , "Imma assume you couldn't tell which twin i am , it's alright get it all the time" and lightly dropped my tie onto me seeing as he was finished, he backed up and grabbed his book bag from the couch
"What class are you heading to ?" He asked
"Potions i think" i answered
"C'mon is on my way , don't want to make you late on your first day or Snape will hate you" he said " Ha probably already hates you anyway" he joked
"Oh, that's alright i was supposed to wait for Hermione" i responded and smiled
"Ah, she probably forgot about you know seeing as she was all up Rons butt earlier , come on or your gonna make me late too " he said jokingly
"Oh- ok, thank you, " I said to him as we started to walk out of the common room.
He walked me down to my class as he told me more about him and his brother George, And all the cool pranks that they pull on people, though i made him promise not to get me too bad even though he clearly didn't keep that promise i soon found out. But it was a fun conversation.
"Here you are , one's potions class" He said as we arrived at the door. I peeked my head in and saw Hermione sitting down in a desk at the front of the class
"Told ya, Granger left you." he laughed
"If you want me to get back at her i can make her hair blue " he looked at me with a grin
"That's alright" i said laughingly
"Well ima head off , see you later y/n " Fred said as he walked away
I watched him walk away as a few feet down he looked back and smiled. While watching Fred someone bumped into me as they were trying to walk into the door.
"Watch it" They said as they turned around
I noticed it was that guy from before, sitting at the table staring at me.
"My Bad" I said as we made eye contact.
" what are you staring at? Need to get your eyes checked?" He spoke in a serious tone to me.
I stayed silent, a few seconds passed and took a deep breath and walked into the class passing him rolling my eyes. I got annoyed , aggravated how someone on my first day talked to me like that. But I still didn't say anything , not just because I couldn't think of anything funny to say back but I just didn't want to feed into his annoyance. I was too good for that anyway. " Walk off you filthy american " He said to me as I was inching closer to the front of the classroom closer to Hermione.
Hermionie looked back and shouted " Oh my god! I am so sorry y/n i totally forgot." she quickly looked back at the boy he was spitting insults at me
" How about you get a life and stop antagonizing new students Draco ?" She yelled.
"Shut it Mudblood " He chirped back at her . She rolled her eyes and took her bookbag off of the seat next to her as I finally approached her table "Want to sit here?" she says. I took the spot, "Ron usually sits here but all he does is copy my quiz answers " she says looking across the room. Ron was sitting at a table with Harry next to us. "Who was that?" i asked
"Ron?"she questioned
"No, no the rude guy , the one who called you a mud-" i answered
"Oh, that's that imbecile Draco Malfoy. Don't even worry about him he is an idiot anyway" she says annoyed looking down at her papers. I looked back to the back of the room to where he was sitting. . Snape slowly walked in as he headed straight to me. He placed a textbook onto my desk and said in a calm voice " Welcome y/n" He started at me.
" You know i have pretty high expectations for you knowing that you are a y/n and I don't deal with annoyances" he stated as he turned around and walked up onto the front of the classroom. Later that day when class was over me and Hermione were picking up our stuff from our desk. I felt a push on my shoulder as I was weirdly back in my chair. I saw that it was draco , he pushed me out of the way even though I wasn't in it to begin with .
" Watch it " I yelled as I stood back up. I looked at him and our eyes met again. His eyes were so blue and wouldn't stop staring at me.
Before he could even speak hermione looks and says " What do you want Malfoy "
"Don't think i need to explain myself to you" He said angrily at Hermione.
He turned around and placed a textbook back on top of snape's desk in front of me and Hermione
"And just letting you know , a y/n in slytherins would have been a disgrace" he said as he looked back up at me and raised his eyebrows.
" Yea, i would have to be in a house with you" i laughed looking at him. I raised my eyebrows copying him, soon he squinted his eyes and was about to speak another word before Hermione interrupted us and grabbed my arm and pulled onto me to leave the room.
As we got into the hallway I could just tell that Hermione was aggravated.
"Wha- what's wrong ? "i asked sympathetically
"Nothing , hes just stupid thats all " she said
I looked down the hallway and spotted Ron and Harry waiting for us.
Ron sees Hermionie and immediately starts walking towards us with Harry
"You alright ?" Ron asked Hermione while grabbing her arm
"I'm fine, just Draco, " Hermione said while pulling her arm away from Ron
"oh - alright you just get scary when your mad Hermionie" Ron said looking back at her
She slowly lifted her face towards him and slapped his arm and walked off.
"Like that ?" Harry asked smirking
"Yea.." ron said quietly as he clenched his arm
I laughed and heard a voice coming from behind us. It was Draco walking out the door.
"Did it hurt Weasley ?" him and his friends laughed as they started to walk down the hall from us.
Ron's face turned red and got a smug face. " What's his problem? " I asked.
"Malfoy?" Harry asked
"Yea the imbecile or that's what Hermione calls him" i said " wait Malfoy did you say ?" I asked Harry. "Yea why?" He responded looking confused at me
"Oh! My father told me about them, I guess he knew Lucius ? I don't think they got along from the stories I heard. Though i do think he liked my mom a bit but don't tell my dad that " i said smirking
Ron's eyes lit up and he quickly stated " Your dad, Lucius?! Ha- thats thats Draco father "
"Hmm" I laughed, " still hate him" I said to Ron and Harry as we smiled.
"You are not alone" Harry laughed as we all turned the opposite way and started to follow where Hermione walked down the hall.
