The day had finally come! it was the morning of my JYP audition. I practiced my routine in the bedroom over and over until it was impossible to erase from my memory. My plan was to both sing and dance 'Don't wanna cry'. I wanted to show that I had talent so they didn't just focus on my looks. Jongho had been helping me boost my confidence in singing while Wooyoung was teaching how to make my dance 'sexy'. (I think he takes his title as sexiest in the group too seriously). I appreciated It so much.

Time had gone by so quickly as I waited for Ateez's manager to pick me up. It was going to be my first time separated from the boys as they had a variety show appearance. I was waiting at the table, alone until I got a text from the manager notifying me he had arrived. I grabbed my bag and left the building. I greeted the manager who was sparing me his time to take me to the audition. I got in the passenger seat, my stomach twisting due to nervousness.

Suddenly, I get a phone call from Seonghwa. "Hello?"

"Hey, Yeosoon are you feeling okay?" He asked.

I couldn't help but smile at his concern. I quickly wiped the smirk off my face when the manager side-eyed me. "Yeah I'm fine, we are almost there."

"Good luck, I believe in you." He said.

My smile was bigger than before. "Thank you, Hwa."

As soon as the call ended the manager's eyes were on me. "Was that Seonghwa?"

I replied "Yes" I looked at him dead on. "I'm sorry that our kiss over the phone disturbed you." and smiled.

He put his eyes back on the road. "You two need to be careful, You're still getting those threatening messages."

I just shrugged "I don't care about them. And there is nothing going on between us, you all need to get that in your heads already."

"That isn't the point, The reason idols aren't aloud to date is because of the reaction from their fans. It even ruins their careers. But I know that you care too much about all of the boys to do that."

Those words hit me hard. Of course I would never dream of hurting them or their career. But was my relationship with Hwa that damaging. It had been almost 2 months since we had met and we've been extremely close even physically, to the point where we are getting watched any time we are within two metres. The truth was, I felt different around him compared to the other members. It's something more.

Pushing those thoughts aside, I realised we were parked in front of the JYP building. I got out of the car, my hands shaking. That was the moment my anxiousness became enhanced. The manager guided me inside. We got to the reception, I gave the woman my name, in return she gave me a sticker with my name on and pointed in the direction where the auditions were held.

To my surprise, I felt a small tap on my back. I turned around to be met with the same man who scouted me. I quickly bowed and greeted him politely. He copied my actions.

"May I take you?" He asked.

I nodded in reply. The manager said his goodbyes and wished me good luck. I trailed behind the tall stranger. We walked through many hallways filled with people until we stopped at a set of blue double doors. The man opened the door, inside was a theatre-like room. There was a small stage and the rest of the room was filled with black seats, many were occupied by people with matching nametags, like my own. I didn't know it was an open audition. I was immersed in the atmosphere when the man instructed me to sit next to a young girl who looked around the same age as me. I did I was told and took my place. For several moments everything was awkward until the girl spoke "Hi, my name is Seo Naeyong." Her face was covered in kindness.

I mirrored her smiled and replied "I'm Kang Yeosoon, It's nice to meet you."

"What are you doing for your audition?" She asked

"Dancing and singing" I replied "What about you."

"I'm singing a ballad."

Waiting turned out to be longer than I thought but Naeyong was so nice and chatty; I liked that about her. When we spoke it felt as if we were talking for hours. I learnt a lot about her too. She was a year younger than me, She was from Seoul, her parents were teachers and she has two older brothers. There wasn't much I could say about myself so I stayed quiet when it came to talking about my personal life. I didn't matter though because I liked hearing about her life.

After a while, Naeyon's name got called. I wished her luck and watched as she made her way onto the stage, as she was receiving a mic I could tell how nervous she was. She took a deep breath and bowed to the judges including JYP himself.

Naeyon was a thin petite girl with short black hair with bangs, she looked even smaller on that stage. But when she began to sing I instantly felt immersed. Her voice was soft and sweet, hitting every note perfectly. Throughout the whole 3 minutes I didn't move a muscle. The audience gave her a round of applause as she bowed. While she made her way back to her seat I couldn't help but stare in admiration.

"You were amazing." I complimented.

She chuckled and thanked me. Our reunion was cut short by the announcement of my name. My heart had skipped a beat. I slowly stood up and made my way to the stage, my steps became heavier the closer I got. As the assistant adjusted my mic I looked at the judges, there sat JYP, the stranger who scouted me and another shorter man. After taking a mic check I stood at the centre.

I bowed and said "Hello, I'm Kang Yeosoon. I will be singing and dancing."

The spotlight turned on, signalling me to get into position. I closed my eyes waiting for the music started. Once it had, my whole body felt the rhythm and responded harmonically with the beats. "Ulgo sipji ana" I sang with the tips Jongho gave me. Fortunately, My voice was stable throughout the performance, and it didn't show that I was out of breath. Overall, I showed both aspects of my performance perfectly. I stood in the final position until the main lights turned on. To my surprise, I received a round of applause.

JYP said "Thank you." And I made my way off stage.
