Delilah woke with a start.
She was covered in sweat and she brought her clammy hands to wipe her face.
She sighed a heavy release when she opened her eyes to see the navy sheet still wrapped tightly around her body and the picture frames smiling at her.
She jumped out of bed eager to start her day.
She opened the large wooden chest and examined the contents. She decided upon a pair of flattering black pants and a black long sleeve crop top. She picked up one of the neatly folded black school robes and cloaked it around herself.
It fit snuggly. She was a proper Hogwarts' student.
She noticed a highlighted sheet of paper stuck to the wall above the chest. Her class timetable.
She read her Monday timetable: Herbology, potions, charms and astrology.
She found her Herbology and potions textbooks and other supplies on the small table beside her bed and threw them into a plain book bag.
With this she left her dorm and saw a messy haired and tired eyed Fred and George.
"Morning," they greeted her.
"You two look like shit," she laughed.
"Well if you don't remember correctly we were up half the night last night hanging from a 10th floor window. How the hell do you look so well rested?" scoffed Fred.
Delilah smiled, reliving last nights events.
"I slept very well, thank you very much," she replied.
"Well that makes one of us." George swept past her and grabbed her book bag, swinging it over his own shoulder and he lead them out of the common room and down the long staircase for breakfast.
Fred exaggerated his exhaustion, fake falling onto Delilah a few times. Delilah was almost tripped to the fate of a nasty fall, had George not been there to catch her.
The trio walked into the great hall laughing.
They were emerged into a large room filled with more laughter and loud chatter as well as strong smells of various delicious foods. There were four long tables of students and one horizontal table of teachers at the very end of the large hall.
Delilah examined the different tables; Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Slytherin and Gryffindor of course. Each table held more than 200 students, each ground identifiable with their respective different coloured ties.
She saw a group of Ravenclaws closest to her, hunched over a book shouting over the correct pronunciation of a spell.
On the next tables she watched the Hufflepuffs. Her eye caught sight of Cedric Diggory, he had a posse of boys and girls around him, hanging on his every word.
She glared at the table of Slytherins. Here she surveyed a group of 1st years boys forming paper planes and sailing them in the direction of the Gryffindor table, hitting a couple of girls in the back of the head.
Fred and George took a seat at the end of the Gryffindor table and drew out a chair beside them for Delilah to join them. The Gryffindor table was filled with laughter and a rush of students helping themselves to the pots of steaming food in the middle of the table.
She saw Harry, Ron and Hermione sitting together further up the long table and gave them an enthusiastic wave.
Fred and George had began filling up their plates with large amounts of food; baked beans, sausage and hash browns. Delilah did the same, praising the breakfast feast.
