someone tapping on the glass woke you up. "we have arrived love birds!" garcia says. you open your eyes, still on spencer's lap, and find him looking at you. "you know, you're really cute when you sleep." spencer says

"oh god please don't go soft on me. and i look like shreks twin sister when i sleep, so stop pretending." he laughs. "never" you move off his lap and get out of the car greeted by hotch and jj with sad expressions. spencer made you so happy you almost forgot about ashley. "how was the drive!" jj asks moving to hug you. you return the hug. "long." derek and garcia trudged into the hotel not long after arriving , reid following after them.

"i'll see you later y/l/n, get some rest." hotch says before walking back into the hotel. you and jj walk side by side into the hotel, reid nowhere in sight. "who am i rooming with jayge?" "i put you with me, do you wanna change" you thought about it for a second "nah, i need some girl talk." she laughs and you loop your arm through hers and walk to your room.

"wait so you did what in the backseat?" jj asks , sipping her wine. while you showered she went down to the hotel bar and got you some bottles of wine , so you could rant.

"i blew him off , and he returned the favor. then we made it official. i told him i loved him jayge. he said it back but i don't know if it was just the heat of the moment or if he really meant it." truth be told, you hoped he meant it. things were going pretty fast , but you loved the thrill of it all.

"i know what you mean, when i originally got with will and got pregnant , i didn't know what to do. i thought we were going way too fast, but we made it work. you and spence have known each other since you joined the team what 3 years ago? i guarantee you both have had feelings for each other since you started , but that club case just brought them all to light." you loved getting advice from jj, she was like your sister.

"thanks jayge." you say , patting her leg. "okay now let's talk funeral. have you told your brothers because the funeral is in 2 days?" your eyes widen, you completely forgot to tell them. "shit , what time is it?" "it's like 6 am." you put back on your clothes and shoes and text your brothers.

y/n: hey dweebs, i'm in town and i have news ,meet me at the diner on 3rd street at 6:30!?" you text , knowing that they would be up.

j: sounds good.

j: is the news good or bad?

y/n: bad.

you shut your phone off with a sigh. "i'm gonna go meet them at a cafe , it's better to tell them in person." she nods and you grab your room key and make your way to dereks room, you needed the keys to the car.

you knock on the door as hard as you can , hoping they aren't asleep. you hear the locks turning on the inside of the door and a frizzy hair spencer opens it. you push past him, and see derek asleep in the bed.

"derek where are the keys to the car." you ask , walking further into the room. he groans and points to a general direction of the room. you rummage through his junk before finding them in his pants pocket. you're on your way out the door when reid stops you. "care to tell me where you're going at 6am?" "i'm going to tell my brothers that my sister is dead." his face drops. "want some company? besides you can't drive anyway." he says snatching the keys out your hands

it was no secret that you weren't the best driver , you'd gotten into 4 hit and runs in the past year. but you could make do. "you have five minutes to get ready or i'm leaving you." you say , snatching the keys back.

he keeps on his sleep shirt and throws on some sweat pants and a jacket , followed by his converse. "let's go." he says , grabbing your keys. you roll your eyes but can't stop the smile on your face. it warmed your heart that spencer wanted to meet your brothers , besides they were the only real family you had left.

you walked in comfortable silence to the car, him opening the door for you when you got there. you thank him and get in the car. "so where to?" he asks putting the keys in the ignition. "cafe on 3rd." you say resting your head on the window, slightly dozing off. he had one hand on the steering wheel , the other on your thigh , drawing little patterns.

you must have fell asleep because you open your eyes to the bright lights of the diner you shrug your jacket over your shoulders and get out the car. you got there before your brothers, you and spencer tucking away in a little booth.

a woman with a very southern accent comes to take your orders , you both ordering coffee. you sip on it for a while , waiting for them to get there. you and spencer are mid conversation about the new season when someone interrupts you. "these seats taken?" you look up and see your brothers.

you stand up and give them both hugs , you hadn't seen them for a while. you all sit back down before they even notice spencer is sitting at the table. "guys , this is spencer. he's my boyfriend." "you brought us here to meet your boyfriend and didn't tell ash? she's gonna be so mad." jacob says laughing.

"i didn't bring you here to talk about spencer , it's actually about ash." your tone of voice changes and they sit up straighter , knowing this is serious. "did you guys hear about the killer who was slitting women's throats?"

"yeah it was all over the news , what's that gotta do with ash?" justin asks. "he got her , ashley is dead guys. her funeral is in 2 days." "wha- what? she's dead?" justin asks shaking his head. you nod, your heart aching.

your brothers both begin to cry. spencer grabs your hand under the table and squeezes it gently. "the entire thing is planned, and both of you can speak if you want." they nod , unable to speak.

the waitress had already bough over the check, you covering it. justin started to get up, jacob following. "it was nice to meet you man." jacob says, patting spencer's back before walking out.

you let out a breath you didn't know you were holding. "that went .. okay" spencer says , grabbing your hand as you make your way out the diner. "yeah .. good."

you get back into the car and sit there for a minute. "do you wanna go back to the hotel?" you nod and he puts the car in drive and makes his way back to the hotel. you keep reassuring yourself in your head that it went okay.

it made you feel better that they seemed to like each other. you knew your mom and ash would love spencer , happy that you finally had a boyfriend. you rest your head on the window and watch as you drive by building and trees, for once you were happy. let's see how long that lasts.
