Welcome to the Family

It was just a different vibe after that pow wow we just had. Like half of the shit I was going through was just lifted off my chest. Now I'm still dealing with demons and shit, but it just felt so good to let it all go. It just felt like all the times I listened to his music and just let go of all my fears.

After I cleaned my tears and got a grip of my emotions, we all went to the dining room so we can get our grub on. James and Prince are placing the food on the table and J5 pouring everyone drinks while everyone else figures out who to sit by. I pull out a seat across from Charlie and Vince sits right on the side of him. Then I feel someone pulling out a seat next to me. I look up and see Danny smiling down at me.

" Hey, you mind if I sit next to you?" He asks rubbing the back of his neck.

" No go ahead." I say as he pulls out his seat more and sits next to me. I then smell his scent linger in the air as I try to soak it all in. His smell is so intoxicating that I completely zone out from Danny talking to me.

" Jazzy? Earth to Jazz!" Danny says waving his big lean hands in front of me. I snap out of it and see him chuckling at my daydreaming state.

" Shit I'm sorry I was just out of it for a minute." I say pushing my hair away from my face. That's embarrassing as fuck to do some dumb shit in front of your crush.

" Penny for your thoughts then?" He asks

Yeah. I wanna rip your fucking clothes off.

" No I think I'm good." I smile at him trying not to be so awkward around him.

" Alright Dinner is served!" James says as the rest of the Michael's come to the dinner table as James and Prince place the rest of the food on the table. Darryl, Michael, Billy and J5 then take a seat at the table.
I scan around and see the most beautiful meal ever. Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Mac and Cheese, Corn Bread, Cabbage, Corn, and my favorite.... blacked eyed peas.

My mouth stayed opened at the amazing sight of this meal.

" Oh my god. Y'all cooked all of this?!"

" Yeah. I hope it's not too much." Prince says taking a seat next to J5.

" This was the surprise for you. We found your grandma's old recipes so me and Prince thought it would be nice for you to have a good home cooked meal." James says sitting next to me.

" No this is great! I haven't had a good home cooked meal and it looks just like my grandmas cooking." I say shaking my head in disbelief.

" Well I hope we did a good job. Now let's eat." James says and everyone digs in grabbing portions of food and passing around items across the table for everyone to get a helping. The sound of chatting and clinking plates just felt like I was at a thanksgiving dinner. The plate of chicken comes around my direction and I grab a piece and hand the plate over to Danny. Our fingers brushed over each others for a brief second and for a moment I felt electric between us and I know he did to. He had this strange look on his face that I couldn't read but he blushes and shyly takes the plate away from me and gets him a piece of chicken.

" Damn this is good! James and Prince y'all put your foot up in this!" Darryl says devouring his piece of chicken.

" Mmmmm this is delicious!" J5 says stuffing his face with Mac and Cheese.

" Hey boy slow down! The food not going anywhere." Prince says to J5.

" Well it is cause Billy is taking all the chicken!" Vince says jerking the platter of chicken from Billy.
