The woods close in around me as I sprint away from the huge, black wolf chasing me. My feet pound on the ground and I seem to be cracking every branch on the ground in this entire forest. I can hear the pounding of my heartbeat in my chest and my breath is coming in rasps. The wolf is catching up to me now, I can hear it's low growl as it bares it long canines at me. I feel the wolf's drool catch the back of my ankle, and make the mistake of turning my head to get a look at it which causes me to trip over a stone and I end up sprawled all over the forest floor. Tears prick the corner of my eyes as I realize that I'm going to die right now. Quickly turning myself over, I watch the wolf come near me. I try to scuffle backwards but soon realize that the effort is futile as the wolf is already standing over me. I meet the wolf's gaze and immediately fall into it's deep dark pits. As I continue staring into his eyes, the recognition hits me. Extending my hand shakily, I reach out to place my hand around the wolf's ear. The wolf 's canines disappear and instead he sits down with his tongue ticking out. I continue petting the wolf and soon find myself staring at Jaxon. There's hurt and pain laced in his eyes as he gazes back at me but as I continue petting the wolf, the emotions turn into something else. Before I can figure out the emotion, I hear a low growl behind me. My fingers leave the softness of Jaxons fur coat, and I quickly turn around to see the next threat. There's an elegant orangish red fox before me, but instead of threatening me, it seems to be against Jaxon. Jaxon quickly comes up in front of me to protect me and when the fox notices that, it looks up at me. Piercing green eyes stare at me which I recognize immediately even though I haven't seen them for a while now.
"Jenn." I state breathlessly. My voice seems to get Jaxon back into his previous state and he growls lowly at both of us. The wild look is back in his eyes and he doesn't look like Jaxon anymore. I feel a tug at my leg and see Jenn using her teeth to get me to move. Following her, I start running away from Jaxon and soon his footsteps start to fade. I turn to look behind me and notice that theres no one behind me anymore. My pants catch on a fallen twig and I try to tug at it but it doesn't budge. When I turn to look to Jenn for help, I notice that she's nowhere in sight. As I pull on my pant leg, I hear Jenn's cry and immediately glance up to see Jaxon's wolf take a final swipe at her causing fresh blood to bloom across her chest as she falls and stops moving. Just as I see the scene unfold before me, my pant leg frees itself and I lose my balance, falling backwards. I wait for myself to hit the ground but I end up falling into a pit. Darkness envelops me and soon I hit the bottom. I look up and see the tiny hole in which I fell from but then someone starts covering it up with dirt. I feel the dirt fall on me and try to yell for help but my silent screams don't reach the ears of the person burying me. As I sit there covered in dirt in the dark, I start to cry. I cry for the loneliness, I cry for the scene I saw before I fell in the pit and I cry for the confusion I'm feeling right now. Two orbs of emerald green pop up in front of me and I immediately feel relief. I try to call out Jenn's name but my mouth seems to be shut from the dirt covering me. Jenn's eyes turn steely as she bares her teeth at me and says,
"You could have saved me." I shake my head in protest but she extends a bony finger from the darkness and places it over my mouth. "No! It's time for me to talk. While you go around having fun, I am rotting 6 feet under ground. You never come to see me, was I ever even your friend or am I just a toy that you have unfortunately lost? Are you going to be like this for every death you experience? What if your parents are next? Maybe your brother?" Jenn steps closer to me and I notice that her eyes have started bleeding and there are maggots crawling out of her mouth. A strangled scream escapes my mouth and I try to push myself backwards to keep a distance between us but I hit the dirt wall behind me. Jenn sneers and continues. "Disgusted, huh? One day you'll be like this and I'll be cackling from hell. Do you ever think about anyone other than yourself? Hayley and Blake went through the same trauma as you and yet you made it all about yourself. Do you even think about them anymore, or are you just enjoying that boy toy you found? What was his name, Chris, Jack, something like that? You're just a selfish bitch. You really need to get out of this self pity bubble you have created and MOVE ON!" Jenn has pulled herself onto me and her bony legs are angled over my thighs as she tries to move closer. The maggots from her split stomach are spilling onto me. There are only a few strands of her beautiful red her left. The only recognizable feature of hers are her emerald eyes but even then, they have a steely gaze in them that I've never seen before. Jenn lifts her finger and presses it on my cheek so that blood swells and spills over my face. "I'll meet you in hell, luv." Jenn smiles maniacally before jamming both her thumbs into my eyeballs. Pain explodes in my eyes and a scream rips through the air.
