I feel my body being swayed and try to open my eyes. When I am finally able to open my eyes, I notice that I'm being held bridal style by two sturdy arms. Blue eyes sparkle in the moonlight causing me to reach up and wrap up around Christens necks. When he notices that I'm awake, he smiles down at me. I return his smile before looking around me and noticing that we're right in front of my house.

"It's okay. You can let me down now." Christen sets me down gently and I have to hold onto his neck for a bit until I catch my balance. This time though, when I notice the position we're in, me with my arms wrapped around his neck and him with his hands at my waist to steady me, I don't pull back. I find myself staring intensely into Christen's eyes. My eyes flicker down to his lips and I realize that I want them on my lips. I pull myself into a tiptoe and press my lips against his. Butterflies swarm in my stomach as Christen reacts by kissing me back and his hands pull my waist closer to him. I wrap my hand tighter around Christen's neck and soon they're lost in his gold hair. When we finally break free, its because we need air. I breath heavily and find myself wanting to kiss him again. This time when I press my lips against his, its calmer, he slowly kisses me back before stepping back.

"As much as I hate to break this moment, I think your Moms waiting to kill me." I turn my head and see Moms head peeking out of the living room window. I laugh breathlessly before replying,

"I'm sorry I fell asleep on our date." Christens hands are still resting on my waist and I can feel their warmth through my shirt.

"I'm sorry I didn't make our date entertaining, I must have bored you to death if you fell asleep."

"It was perfect. I loved it." I whisper against his lips as I leave a peck. I wave goodbye to him and start walking away.

"Wait! Cynthea, will...will you be my girlfriend?"I smile widely and half turn back.

"Yes, I would love to, it would be an honour." Christen returns my smile and waits for me to enter my house before turning around and walking back to his car. A giddy smile grazes my face as I lean my head against my front door. I close my eyes and slide down the door so that I'm sitting down instead of standing. My peaceful moment is interrupted when a finger jabs into my shoulder.

"Ow!" I yelp and open my eyes to find two pair of eyes staring back at me. Owen and Mom sit directly in front of me with questions written all over their face. A smile makes its way back onto my face as I recall the night. When Mom opens her mouth to bombard me with her questions, I let out a sigh and interrupt her. "Okay. Okay. I know you want the details but...I don't even know how I should describe it." I shrug as the smile on my widens. "It was amazing! That's all I can say. It was perfect, he was perfect." Mom smiles at me before wrapping her arm around my shoulder. "He asked me to be his girlfriend, I said yes. I really think he's the one, he has all the qualities anyone would want in a boyfriend." I notice Mom pursing her lips for a second but when she notices me watching, she transforms it back into a smile. My smile drops and I add, "I'm gett ing my hope too high, right? It's all fantasy, no one gets a happy ending."

"No, no. That's not true. I found my one true love and one day you will too and as much as I love seeing that smile on your face, I don't want you to get your hopes up because I don't want you getting hurt." Mom rubs my back and I lean my head on her shoulder as I let out a yawn. I tilt my head to look at Owen but he looks like he's lost thinking about something else. "When you said he has all the qualities anyone would want in a boyfriend, do you think you want those qualities? Everyone has their own preferences and I just want you to know what your preferences are." My eyes close and I let out a hum.

"Hmmm..." My eyes snap open when Mom shifts under me. "Yeah, I think." Noticing my fatigue, Mom turns to me and says,

"Okay, let's get you to your bed so that you can sleep." Before I can open my mouth speak, I'm thrown over Owen's shoulder.
