My knock echoes around the tiny hallway and I lower my hand as I wait for Jaxon to open his door. When the door does open, its not Jaxon on the other side. The man that stands before me is double the size of Jaxon which really says something. His 7 foot something height makes him tower fully over me. On top of that, his face is covered with piercings and his shoulder length blond hair makes them stand out. My eyes travel down his body and through his revealing tank and shorts, I notice that he's packed with muscle which make his tattoo sleeves seem alive. His entire figure makes him look intimidating, but when I glance up at his face, his eyes soften and he breaks the brooding mask on his face with a wide grin. Unintentionally, I let out a held in breath.
"Hey cutie. Who must you be?"I grit my teeth at his nickname for me and forcefully smile up at him.
"I could ask you the same question." The man's smile turn into a smirk and he narrows his eyes to analyzes me for a bit before leaning against the door frame which looks kind of odd on him since he has to hunch his back a little to fit into the door frame.
"I'm Alex. Jaxon's bestfriend." He sticks his hand out for me to shake it but I stare at him incredously. A laugh bubbles its way into my mouth and I try to restrain it but it breaks free.
"F-fr-friend?" I ask between my laugh. Alex's face turns amused when I let out a snort and double over as my stomach starts hurting. Hearing footsteps, I look up and find Jaxon glaring down at me.
"What are you doing? Why are you on the ground?" He asks in an annoyed tone. I had finally been able to restrain my laughing but as soon as I take a glimpse at the two 'friends' next to each other, I crack up again. Jaxon has friends? That's unbelievable. Jaxon turns to Alex. "When the laughing gas wears off her, let her in." Just as he starts to turn, I stand up and let out a sigh before wiping a tear that formed in the corner of my eye. Jaxon stops when he sees that I've collected myself. "Are you going to act like a human now or are you going to continue acting like a monkey?" Lifting my head, I level a glare in his direction and notice his lips twitch up for a second.
"Shut up, Jaxon." Walking up to Alex, I rest my hand on his chest and add with a wink, "I like the 'friend'." My hand trails down his chest before I push past them and enter Jaxon's apartment. I walk over to the couch and just as I'm about to take a seat, my actions play in my mind and I wonder why I did that. When I look up, I notice that Jaxon is still standing by the door. He's glaring at Alex, but when he notices my gaze, he turns it on me and gruffly says,
"You have a boyfriend, keep your mind on him." My lips tilt into a smirk and I lean into the couch, lifting my feet onto his coffee table, before replying.
"I never said I like him in that way." Jaxon's shoulders relax a bit and Eliza's words flash through my mind but I shake them away. Both the guys walk over to me and plop down on the single seated couches next to me.
"So...why did you come over?" Jaxon's eyes wander to my feet resting on his coffee table. "Hey! Get your filthy feet of my table!" Narrowing my eyes, I cross my arms over my chest.
"Make me." My voice comes out as steel but it doesn't affect Jaxon as he throws a blank look at me and shrugs.
"Okay." He slowly gets up and walks over to me. Before I have time to react, he's sitting on my lap with his legs outstretched over mine. My hands push against his back, but it doesn't budge.
"Get off me you fatass!" My protests fall on deaf ears as I continue desperately trying to push him off me. "I'll take my feet of your stupid table, just get off me!" Finally, after Alex tells Jaxon to get off me, Jaxon shifts himself so he's sitting right next to me on the loveseat. His hip brushes mine and I turn to glare at him. "I can't feel my legs anymore, jackass!"
