~Agent's of SHIELD spoiler, I guess?~
Grant Ward
[ Angelika wanders around the tower on one of her boring days. Everyone's on a mission and she's left with Pepper so she decides to visit Loki who has to be contained whenever the heroes aren't around. But she runs into someone else instead. ]
Angelika's first year in highschool
( Peter Parker's senior year )"THIS IS RIDICULOUS I could totally be of use on a mission. But no, I'm a kid! And kid's can't go on missions. This is stupid! Boring! C'mon Papa always took me on his missions." Angelika complained to herself as she travelled to the Avenger's tower elevator.
She crossed her arms over her chest and huffed, leaning from one foot to the other as the elevator lowered, and lowered, and lowered, and lowered. It took a few minutes before she reached the last level of the tower, which was somewhere underground. She had a book in one hand- one Loki had wanted to read- and she stomped out of the elevator, still annoyed by her lonely predicament. Pepper was busy being the CEO of Stark Industries, and she was bored.
So Angelika did the most ridiculous and ludicrous thing she could do- visit Loki and the lowest prison bank for criminals that were safer underneath the Avenger's tower- maximum security. She stepped down the hall, ignoring most of the other circular prison glass rooms, looking around for Loki's, which was usually somewhere in the center. Most of the glass cells were empty, so Angelika was surprised when she saw someone new in one of the boxes.
She furrowed her eyebrows with confusion and let curiosity kill the cat- it was a maximum security prison, so, she didn't have a lot to worry about. . .right?
"Angie, I believe I've been told it is not healthy for you to meet Agent Grant Ward." FRIDAY said, her voice echoing in the ceiling.
That seemed to catch the prisoner's ears, and he pivoted on his foot, looking around fearfully like he was about to be murdered.
"Uh, he seems harmless. Besides, he's in a cage made for the Hulk, Fri." Angelika reasoned.
"Yes but his words may easily sway you." FRIDAY said. "I would like you to respect Teddy Bear Barnes' decision. He himself seems to believe the lies this man has spewed."
"I'm not lying! I swear!" The man- Ward?- cried desperately, collapsing to his knees and pulling himself closer to the back of the cage.
Angelika couldn't help it- her immature curiosity had her drawn straight to the box, and she stood in front of the glass, gazing at the man with furrowed eyebrows.
"Why is he in here Fri?" Angelika asked.
"I'm afraid that's confidential information, Angie. But he is HYDRA." FRIDAY replied and Angelika's heart stopped.
She'd just approached a HYDRA agent for no good reason and was probably-
"No! I'm not HYDRA! I've been working for SHIELD as long as I remember!" Ward protested tearfully. "I've been a loyal agent! Ever since SHIELD fell I've had nowhere else to go. I've been taking down HYDRA bases by myself! This is a misunderstanding!"
Angelika furrowed her eyebrows.
"It's impossible to take a HYDRA base down by yourself." She said honestly and the hysterical man shook his head vigorously.
"I had a team! Fitz- Simmons, Skye- I had a team but we broke apart! I'm telling the truth! I was going to live a normal life but I just- I couldn't let HYDRA do the shit they've been doing." He said, trying to explain as best as possible without breaking into tears.
