As we went to Hinata's apartment to collect a few of his things, I thought back to our conversation this morning:

"Kata-Chan actually suggested the idea when we broke up a few months ago. At the time, I said no, but... now? After what he did to you?"

...

I wondered why he had said no to Kataoka before.

But I realized it was probably nothing, not to mention none of my business, and went back to helping him grab whatever he needed.

"Are you almost finished?" I called out to Hinata from the living room.

"...Yup!" I heard his voice coming from his bedroom.

Only a minute passed before he walked out with a large, light pink duffel bag.

He had changed into baggy ripped jeans, a yellow sweater, and some white tennis sneakers. In place of the black stud he had previously, he wore a white one.

"Wow. You look good."

He smiled. "Thanks! I just feel good to have a change of clothes."

Once he decided he had everything he needed, we left the apartment and made our way home.

As we took our shoes off, Hinata looked up at me. "How long do you think I should stay here?"

I thought for a moment. "At least... until we can file a restraining order. I don't know how long that usually takes."

Hinata nodded, then hugged me. "I'm glad I can stay here with you. Thank you."

I crouched down and kissed his cheek.

We were both blushing, but it felt good.

Once we were finished eating dinner, I sat next to Hinata on the couch.

"So tomorrow... we should go to the courthouse, right?"

He nodded.

"Okay, we can do that after work. What time should you go in tomorrow?"

He thought for a moment.

"Well, usually I go in at around 8, so... maybe, 7:30?"

I nodded. "That's around the same time I leave for work."

Hinata looked at me. "You're not going to work, remember?"

"Shit, I forgot." He laughed, then seemed to perk up when he thought of something.

"Oh! I know! Come with me to work! You can see what I do every day."

I smiled. "That's a good idea."

I stood up, took his hand, then brought him to bed.

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEE-

I shut off the alarm and read the clock. It read 6:00 AM.

Even though I couldn't really do my morning workout for the time being, I still wanted to give us both time to shower and get ready.

Plus, I realized I hadn't shown Hinata the view of the sunrise yet.

I heard a small sniffle and turned my head to him.

He's still asleep.

I almost felt bad for having to wake him up, but I knew he would want to see the sunrise so I woke him anyway.

"Hinata..." I said his name gently into his ear, then tapped on his shoulder.

He rubbed his eyes. "Hmmm..."

"Time to get up."

"Ugh...What time is it?"

"6:00."

"6? In the morning? Are you-ah!"

Before he could finish, I picked him up, sat him on my lap, and opened the blinds.

"Just look."

Instead of watching the view, I watched him as his eyes widened, and almost shimmered in amazement.

"So...pretty..."

I smiled and turned to look at the familiar scene.

The same cotton candy skies, and the same bright orange sun that would never fail to emerge from the same buildings every single morning.

And yet, that time was different. Because before then, I'd never had someone to share it with.

Hinata, he was right there with me.

"You know, I wanted to show it to you because... It reminds me of you."

Still staring at the sunrise, he responded.

"Hmm? How come?"

I continued looking at it as I spoke.

"Because... the first time I saw this sunrise, I guess I could say... I was captivated by it.

It was so beautiful that I didn't want to look away. I couldn't look away."

I watched from the corner of my eye as he looked at me, surprised.

"Whenever it's gone, I miss it. And I feel happy knowing I get to wake up to it in the morning."

Saying that made me smile.

His eyes watered as I turned my focus to him.

"Hinata, listen."

I ran my fingers through his hair.

"You're not just the sunrise. You're my sun."

"Ka-Kageyama..."

"So don't ever leave. Okay? Just promise me that. 'Cause... I need my sun."

"I...

I won't. I promise."

Still on my lap, he leaned down, and the distance between our faces slowly closed.

I moved my hands from his hair to his torso, and I felt his arms wrap around my neck.

Then I kissed him.

I... had no idea, that what it was like to kiss someone.

It was weird. God, it was good.

His lips were small but soft. As they touched my own, he left faint breaths on my skin.

I liked the warmth of his body on mine as we moved closer to one another. I liked how we could feel each other, touch each other, taste each other.

But what I liked most, was how I didn't want to pull away, and neither did he.

Though once we did, we lingered for a moment. Then Hinata sat down, put his head into my chest, and looked up at me.

"Is it too early to say... I love you?"

I put my hand on his cheek. "No."

"Okay, good. Because I love you. I really love you."

I smiled, and let my fingers travel across his face.

"I love you too,

Hinata."
