As I got into the shower, I thought about what had just happened.
I can't believe we kissed...
Holy shit...
I kissed him.
Fuck. I hope it was good.
I knew Hinata had an ex-boyfriend, and saying I was 'inexperienced' is an understatement.
But beyond all things:
I would have never thought, not even in a million years, that I would love someone.
It's not like I wasn't open to the idea. But I just wasn't... open to the idea.
I grabbed the shampoo and slathered it on top of my head.
I noticed another bottle of shampoo nearby.
Is that Hinata's?
Whenever I saw something of his, it made me smile.
Just thinking about him, or about the fact that he'll be here, with me, made me smile.
I'm happy. And in love.
Fucking weird.
Once I was finished showering, I wrapped a towel around my torso and walked up to the sink to brush my teeth.
But right when I grabbed my toothbrush, the door opened.
"Kageyama, you need to try this-"
I guess he noticed I was wearing nothing but a towel because as looked me up and down, eyes widening, his face turned a bright red.
"Ah-"
Seeing this as a chance to mess with him a little, I walked close to him and grinned. "You know, you're lucky I put this on before you came in."
He looked shocked, freezing for a moment, then threw a bottle at me and ran.
I couldn't hold in my laughter.
He heard me because he yelled from the other side of the door. "Shut up!"
I sighed and looked at the bottle laying on the floor.
What is this?
I read the bottle:
LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER
Huh.
"Hinata, how the hell do I use this?"
He called from the other side of the room. "Put some pants on first!"
I laughed. "Alright."
Once I put on my boxers and a pair of pants, I walked into the bedroom. Hinata, wearing a dark green polo and light blue jeans, motioned for me to sit down. "Come here, I'll do it."
I nodded and sat down.
"I brought this from the salon. I've heard it keeps your hair really smooth but I haven't tried it."
"So I'm the guinea pig?"
"That's not what I meant! I mean it just isn't really for my hair type, so I don't need to. Now stay still."
I watched him from the mirror as he massaged it over my scalp.
"You're not gonna need any gel after this."
He ran his fingers through my hair for a moment, then put his hands on my shoulders. "See? Some leave-ins can do wonders for your hair."
"Wow, it looks the same as it did after you cut it."
He giggled. "Kageyama, this is how it's supposed to look."
He fluffed up my hair again. "You have really good natural hair. Stop gelling it back all the time!"
I sighed. "Alright. Only if you can do my hair every morning."
He smiled. "I will!"
Next, he moved a little to stand in front of me. Then he sat on my lap.
"Ummm... Kageyama..." He paused for a moment.
I grinned. "What?"
"I wanna kiss you again."
Good. He liked it.
I patted his head, then grabbed him and pulled him closer to me.
Again, our lips touched.
We remained that way for a while.
Once we arrived at the salon, I saw Hinata's friend, Kataoka, walk up to us from behind the desk. Other than her, the rest of the salon was empty.
"Hey Hinata, how are you..."
When she noticed my face, her mouth fell open.
"Kageyama! Oh my god." She walked closer to me and frowning. "I can't believe Yoshiro did this. Well, I can. God, that asshole." She crossed her arms in resentment.
Hinata looked at the floor and shook his head. "Yeah."
Kataoka walked up to me and put her hand on my shoulder. "How's it feel?"
I ran my fingers through my hair. "It hurts, but I'll get over it. You're right though. That guy is an asshole."
She sighed, then turned away from me and hugged Hinata. His shoulders shook as he hugged her back. "Kata-Chan..."
I could tell they were really close. I was glad, knowing Hinata had a good friend like her.
I noticed that as the hugged, Kataoka was slightly taller than him.
Once they separated, Hinata smiled at me and took my hand. "I gotta get to work, come on."
Hinata lead me through the employees-only door.
"I just realized you haven't even been inside my office yet!" He brought me down a small hallway, and into a room at the end of it.
It was pretty large for an office, with lots of plants, and two comfy-looking seats across from a large wooden desk.
"This is really nice," I said, running my fingers through my hair. Ever since he put in that stuff I noticed how soft my hair was.
He smiled. "I have a couple of things to get done, but they won't take too long." I nodded, then sat in a chair across from him and pulled out my phone to pass the time.
About an hour passed and Hinata looked up at me. "I still have some things to do. Maybe we can go out for lunch or something- hey!" he said as I picked him up then sat back in the chair, pulling him down to sit in my lap.
Hinata turned around to face me, blushing. "Kageyama! I have to do my work!"
"...Get up then."
He thought for a moment, sighed, then leaned on me a little.
"...Only cause your lap is so comfortable."
