"Hinata... It's getting pretty late. How about we-"
"Wait, don't pull away... Not yet."
I remained there holding him. "Alright."
We stayed there for a while.
...
Hinata looked up at me, rubbing his eyes.
"Sorry, Kageyama. You must be tired, and with your eye... you need rest."
"It's okay. Let's get ready for bed now, okay?"
I brought him into my room. "The bathroom is right there. Go in there and you can shower if you want, I'll get you some clothes to wear in the meantime." He nodded and went into the bathroom.
I grabbed him the smallest tee of mine I could find, along with an old pair of shorts that were too small for me (and I'm not even sure why I still had). I put it by the bathroom door. Next I changed out of my pants, socks, and blood covered button-down then changed into a sweatshirt and boxers.
Probably shouldn't shower tonight in case my cuts haven't closed.
I took off my watch and put it on the table beside me. Next, I picked up some clothes off my floor and put them into the laundry. Then I took all the front pillows off of my bed and peeled open the covers.
By the time I was done with all that, Hinata walked out of the bathroom wearing the clothes I had given him.
Even though the shirt was fitted on me, it was still giant on him, going down to just above his knees. His hair was messy and damp, and his eyes kept fluttering open and closed as he walked towards me, clearly tired.
He's so fucking cute.
Once he crossed the room to me, he hugged my torso.
"Thank you for this."
I wrapped my arms around him and kissed the top of his head.
"Let's get into bed, okay?"
I laid on one side, he on the other.
Though, that didn't last for long. Hinata asked me to hold him, and we stayed like that for the rest of the night.
When I awoke, I stared up at the ceiling.
Huh... what time is it?
I moved my gaze from the ceiling to the clock beside me. It read 9:00 AM.
Shit. I need to call in sick at work.
I looked down at Hinata.
My arm was still wrapped around him. He was sleeping peacefully on my chest.
He's so cute. I better not wake him.
I looked back up at the ceiling.
My face was pretty sore, but I didn't care.
Somewhere around thirty minutes had passed before Hinata started to wake up.
I felt his head rise from my chest. "Kageyama?" His voice was groggy and quiet.
"Good morning."
He looked at me and stroked the side of my face, careful not to meet any bruises or cuts that may have been painful to the touch.
"Does it hurt?"
"A little."
He sighed and hugged me.
"Can I take you to the hospital in a bit?" I nodded. "Sure. I should call work real quick. Go to the bathroom and get dressed."
He hugged me one more time, then left to go to the bathroom.
I grabbed my phone that lay next to my watch.
Shit.
I didn't notice before, but the screen must have cracked when I fell the previous day.
Oh well. I'll get that fixed.
Luckily it was just the screen that was broken, and my phone worked just fine. I was able to avoid work with one call.
Once Hinata was done with the bathroom, I went in and took a shower.
I was careful not to let any water touch my face. I knew that would hurt like hell.
When I was done showering, I wrapped a towel around my torso and cleared the steam off the bathroom mirror.
The bruises on my face were darker than the day before. Though the swelling had gone down, my left eye was still swollen shut. The bandaid on my forehead was covered in dry blood, and so was my lip.
Honestly, if it weren't for the right side of my face, I would be unrecognizable.
I sighed and gelled back my hair. Next, I put on a dark green button-down and jeans.
I walked out of the bathroom to see the bed already made. Hinata was standing there in his pants from last night and a hoodie of mine.
He took my hand. "Ready to go?"
I nodded.
