Chapter Fifteen: Edwards Manor
Eleanor felt good to be home again. The white manor was covered in snow, making the Manor blend in with the snowy air. After everything that happened the previous night was still fresh in Eleanor's mind and she had asked her parents if Mr. Weasley was alright and why she even had the dream in the first place. Evelyn, Thomas, and Theo all reassured Eleanor that Mr. Weasley was fine and that they would go to visit them at 12 Grimmauld Place.
Eleanor stood at the front of her home, relieved to be at home. Hermione was making her way into the house, as Evelyn, who was grabbing her daughter's hand, lead her inside the house. The Edwards Manor was a loving home. Evelyn had a thing for decorating, and hated the idea of a having a house that was dark and cold. Eleanor was greeted to the house cat, mindlessly running around the house. Thomas helped Evelyn and Eleanor take off their coats while Theo hung up Hermione's coat. Hermione allowed Crookshanks and Nala to follow behind the fat cat.
"Come on girl, let's get warmed up and cleaned up." Evelyn led Eleanor and Hermione upstairs while Thomas and Theo walked straight ahead and into the library, where Eleanor could make out the portrait of her family, where she was seated on a chair, with her parents behind her and right beside Thomas was Theo. Thomas's right hand was on Eleanor's right shoulder while her mother's was on her left shoulder.
Eleanor walked upstairs admiring the flowers her mother put in a vase, they were white roses perfectly organized in a dark blue vase. Eleanor entered her bedroom and looked around. Nothing had changed. Her bed was perfectly made, just as it had the day she left for Hogwarts. Her room wasn't anything too special, a full sized bed in the middle of the room, two nightstands on either sides with a lamp placed neatly on each of them. There whites were a light blue color with little white flowers on the walls. A soft white rug was partly under the bed also in the middle of the room. On the right side of her bedroom was her dressing table, with a mirror on top of it. A small bookshelf on the left side, filled with all the books that Eleanor loved dearly. Her bathroom was right next to the bookshelf. Eleanor took a seat on her bed feeling the fluff of the mattress beneath her. Hermione walked over to the girl and took a seat next to her.
"Girls, you stay here and freshen up. Hermione you don't mind staying with Eleanor for the night?" Evelyn asked. Evelyn was notable scared of Eleanor having another nightmare and being alone. Hermione nodded her head.
"Of course, it'll be like having a sleepover together." Hermione smiled.
"Thank you. You get your rest, tomorrow morning we will go see Mr. Weasley." Evelyn shut the door behind her and walked downstairs and into the library where Thomas and Theo were discussing about what Dumbledore.
Eleanor looked over at Hermione. "What do you think they're talking about?" Eleanor asked.
"Probably about the nightmare you had. It doesn't make sense. You seeing Mr. Weasley getting hurt and Harry getting the same nightmare, on the same night too." Hermione thought carefully, but even she was at loss for words.
Eleanor laid back on her bed as her mind wondered. She thought about Draco and surely he had already heard about what had happened to Eleanor, it was common for news to spread like a wildfire in Hogwarts. She was sure she would see him again during the Ministry Christmas party and make some time to be alone with him, even if it was a second. Eleanor looked over at Hermione who was now looking over at the books on her shelf. She wanted to tell Hermione that her and Draco Malfoy were together, but all those times that he had bullied the girl and her friends struck Eleanor as she wondered.
An owl came at Eleanor window as both girls looked over at the window. Eleanor quickly made her way to the window and petted the owl before grabbing the letter and sitting back down on the bed next to Hermione. It was a letter from Ron.
Hermione and Eleanor,
Dad is doing alright, Bill and Mum are with him right now. Harry is being extra quiet, I suppose it is because he is also in shock. Ginny is sleeping right now and Fred and George are awake waiting for Mum to come. Nelly, are you okay? Snape ran into Dumbledore's office saying that you were having a fit too.
- Ron
Hermione quickly wrote back to Ron explaining what happened to Eleanor and that they would talk about it once they were all together in person with it being too risky to send it all in a letter. They also informed Ron that they would be coming over tomorrow to see the family.
