When I go back to finishing watching Abby dance, the song has changed but I still get to see most of the show.
At the end of the show I find Christina and I go out in the lobby to wait for Abby. She comes out with the rest of her group wearing sweats and a light baggy shirt.
"Abby! You were great!" I nearly scream and go to hug her.
"Just amazing." Christina chimes in. We give her a big group hug and give her some of the left over candy we had.
"Do you want to meet up at my place? I'm having a party to celebrate our first show." Abby offers in the parking lot.
"I'm sorry I'm really tired." I say but Christina says something different at the same time.
"We would love to!"
Christina and I exchange glances and awkward smiles.
"Sorry.. Abby. I just had a long rough day. I just want to go home and sleep."
"Yea, no its cool. But you're missing out!" She smiles, like me not going doesn't bother her but I know it does.
"I'm sure I'll see everything that's going on on Instagram or Snapchat." I laugh.
I say bye to Abby and congratulate her one more time before we go to our cars. Christina takes me home and I see both my parents cars parked in the driveway.
I go inside and see my parents are in the living room watching some documentary. I go over and tell them I'm going to bed and give them both a hug.
I go up to my room, ignore all the texts I have from Andrew, and Christina and just go straight to bed. I wasn't kidding when I said I was tired.

I spent most of morning debating if I should go to the coffee shop or not. Thinking of everything that could happen.
I ended up flipping a coin to make my choice. At this point I didn't know what else to do. Heads, I go to the coffee shop. Tails, I go straight to school.
I flipped the coin up in the air and it landed on Tails. I settled it at that and drove to school without a second thought.
I arrived at the school and was walking to the front doors when I see Andrew, sitting down waiting for me.
"Hey, how was Abby's show?" He asks when I'm close enough to him.
"It went great. It was really crowded so I had to sit near the back, Where I saw Brandon.." I don't make eye contact with Andrew, but I can feel eyes eyes staring me down.
"Did you talk to him?" Andrew asks.
"I did, and he explained himself. " and he kissed me. My mind adds but I don't say it out loud.
"What was his excuse?" Andrew scoffs.
"It wasn't an excuse, it was a misunderstanding." I say, sort of defending Brandon.
"Its fine. I don't need to know why he made you feel so bad." He keeps his face straight and doesn't look at me.
How can I consider me and Brandon being together, if Andrew hates him? I don't even bring up that Brandon asked about me and him, so I keep my mouth shut.
When we get near my class I go straight into it without saying bye. It doesn't do much because Andrew pops his head into the classroom to yell at me. "Bye Emily!" and leaves.
A few people laugh at him. I just roll my eyes and try to hide my laugh.

"Okay class, with homecoming coming up, the school decided to have a little dance along with the game. The dance will be in two weeks, and tickets will be 15$ per person. The athletes will be selling some raffle tickets to raise money for the dance. If you're interested in more information, they will be passing out flyers during your last period." My teacher stood in front of her desk to let us know.
A homecoming dance?
Hasn't the school hosted enough dances?
We usually never have a dance for homecoming. We do most of the celebrating at the football field, then someones house after at a party. A dance was never part of the plan.
Everyone is excited and talking among there friends. I groan and put my head down on my desk. I Ignore one of my friends poking my shoulder and just close my eyes.
A homecoming dance?
