Kiyoomi moved to the steady rhythm of his music. Stick sweat soaked right into his light hoodie. He panted as he wiped his mouth on his sleeve. He could only imagine how badly he stunk.
But something about the breezy pathway and jog made him feel rejuvenated. He stopped at a sleek water fountain, for a minute of rest.
Sunlight tinted the sky various shades of gray. He huffed for his breath and removed his earplugs. Kiyoomi felt livelier than ever before the past few days.
He had opened the letter from back then right the next day, and read the line:
'Happy souls'
The ravennette wasn't sure how he was supposed to react to that, and his thoughts about the letters slowly began fading away. He hadn't recieved any letter since that day, and honestly, he was quite relieved. Now, he had his life just like he had planned it to be. Going to college, attending classes, doing music, maybe have a few friends; life was good.
He checked the time and decided it was time for him to return back to his room and get ready. Slowly jogging back the same path, he continued towards the dorms.
Kiyoomi turned the doorknob open and removed the key, entering the room silently. It was upto no surprise for him when he found his roommate still sound asleep, softly snoring in between breaths.
He had figured out a lot about Atsumu in the past few days, and one main thing was that he always overslept. He wanted anyone to wake him up every morning, probably a habit he picked up when he was with his mom or brother.
Kiyoomi kicked his shoes off and went to shower immediately, not wanting to stay in the sweaty clothes anymore.
He stepped into the shower, toes flinching as they touched the chilled ceramic floor. He turned the dial, old and metallic, releasing thousands of lukewarm drops, that darkened his hair and trickled down his back. His eyes closed over and he felt peace. His mind wasn't trapped anymore, almost as if he was again a small baby; having nothing to worry about other than happiness.
Stepping out of the shower, with his dark green shirt and black denims, he ran the towel through his dark wet hair,
absorbing the moisture from it.He walked up to Atsumu's bed and shook him awake. The other just hummed and burrowed his face under the pillow.
"Oi idiot! Wake up, or I'm pouring water on you." A warning from his roommate woke him up.
Atsumu crossed his legs and sat on his bed. The fluffy soft mattress and cotton pillows kept luring him back into slumber. But the intimidating look from kiyoomi was enough for him to shake off the thoughts and get out of his bed.
"G'morning omi-kun." He greets the other.
The fake blonde rubbed his eyes and moved towards the restroom with slow and dazed steps. Kiyoomi gathers his things and takes his guitar, not waiting for his hair to dry fully. He was lazy and he figured the wind would take away the remaining moisture before he gets to his class.
"Atsumu, I'm going ahead to the class." He informs his roommate through the dark wooden door.
"Yeah, bye omi!!" He heard a shout from inside the restroom, after which kiyoomi shut the room's door and left for his classes, early as always.
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
The halls were crowded with people, and the chaos was so perfect, like a movie. Laughter sounds along the way, joined with excited conversations and shouts. The dorms didn't feel like an abounded building anymore.
