The balcony grew from the walls of the building as generous arms from a host, or perhaps those of a mother to cradle her infant child. The metal had a patina of ocean greens and blues, it was more the hues of a mossy forest floor in softened early light, yet either way it was beautiful.
Atsumu inhaled the fresh morning air, filled with oxygen, into his lungs, that livened him up instantly.
He was up early this morning, he supposed it was because he went to sleep pretty soon last night.
The world is as silent as if it ended in the night. The sun is still resolutely below the horizon and the landscape is as dark as an old-school black and white movie. As atsumu closed his eyes, he felt the steady pull of his dreams, beckoning him back to play.
The coolness of the early morning is deceptive; the sun has barely risen and this altitude is always cooler. It was one of those rare times, when Atsumu wakes up early and watches the sunrise.
He had always been a sunset person.
Sipping on the smooth, brown milk that created a contrast with the white mug, he observed and cherised the moment and panorama in front of him.
The lustrous texture, topped with chocolate crumbles outdated the effect created by the coffee beans which placed themselves outside the mug. The vibrant aroma seemed to have extricated itself from the thick, cream coating over the surface, penetrating deep into his nose, watering his mouth.
The caffeine shot right into his head, giving him an adrenaline rush. Looking along the endless stretches of trees and sky, he let the cold breeze embrace him, thoroughly enjoying every moment of it.
Watching the majestic sunrise, with coffee by his side, he rubbed his hands together, creating warmth as he cupped his own face transferring the heat to his skin. Relaxing his muscles that were once stiffened because of the coldness, he smiled at the birds flying happily across the sky.
The next hour was spent staring at the vast stretch of sky and singing in between, witnessing the way the sun lit up the world with its bright and powerful rays.
"...atsumu?"
The blonde turned back, to look at the person who just called him. He saw his roommate standing at the entrance of the terrace, hands buried inside his hoodie's pocket, not able to withstand the cool climate all of a sudden.
"Good morning omi-kun!" Atsumu cheerfully greeted the other.
Kiyoomi sleepily nodded and asked why he was sitting here this early.
"I was bored, I woke up super early today!" Atsumu responded.
"...alright." He heard kiyoomi muttering, as he watched his roommate going back to their room.
Atsumu chuckled and internally fist bumped, because it was always kiyoomi who wakes him up, and today he woke up on his own, it made him feel as if he has achieved something. No wonder why his brother says he hasn't mentally aged yet.

"Do ya want to practise alone before this omi-kun?" Atsumu questioned his pair, kiyoomi.
"Nah." The black haired male replied, setting up his guitar and the other equipments ready.
"Kay!" The singer replied and went through his lyrics sheets, just for boosting up his confidence. He knew he could do this. But singing before, or rather, singing with kiyoomi made him feel slightly nervous.
