chapter 18

Tris POV:

I wake up with strong arms around me, I look up to see a sleeping Tobias. He looks so peaceful. I look over at the clock on my bedside table to see the clock read 6:45. I don't need to be at work until 8:00 so I can stay here for a while. I look back up at Tobias and kiss him lightly on the lips. He doesn't kiss back for a moment, then I feel him kiss back, and I pull away teasing him. He frowns and opens one eye. "Good morning beautiful," he says in a low, sleepy voice. Damn, that's so hot. I think to myself. "Well, then maybe I should talk like this more often," he says, I look at him confused. Then I realise I was thinking out loud and I feel my cheeks go bright red, I bury my head in his chest so he cants see. He chuckles and asks "what time is it?" "6:45, why?" I respond picking his lips. He smiles a little, "I have to be at work early, so as much as I would love to stay here with you longer, I need to get up" I pout a little but let him go since I was hugging him. He gets up and goes to walk to the shower. He looks down at himself and realises that he's naked. He goes bright red and quickly grabs his pants and top and runs to the bathroom. I giggle quietly so he can't hear me. I get up, put some black skinny jeans and a soft, black, large T-shirt. I comb my hair and put it in a pony tail. I grab my black leather jacket of the char in the kitchen and go to put my combat boots on, when Tobias walks out, dressed and ready to go. "You wanna go down to the cafeteria to get some breakfast before work?" I offer. "Yes! I'm starving!" He says. I smile and grab his hand as we walk out the door. I lock it, and we head down to the cafeteria.

By the time we get there, its 7:15 so the cafeteria is loud and full of people. "I'll get us some breakfast, you go find the gang," I say, he nods, gives me a quick kiss on the head then walk over to our usual table where I can see the gang sitting. I grab a chocolate muffin, and a wight choc raspberry muffin, and grab to coffees and go sit down. "Hey!" I say as I sit down, Zeke just grumbles, Sharna looks up from her food and gives me a wave, Lynn looks like she's about to fall asleep in her porridge, Uriah smiles, Mar yarns a 'good morning' but it comes out more like 'goo mornnnn', and will doesn't even acknowledge me. "So... rays your hand is you slept well," I say with wide eyes, filled with shock and worry. They all glared at me and I laugh. I hand Tobias the chocolate muffin and his coffee, "Thanks lovely" I kiss him in return. He scoffs his food and sculls his coffee "slow down, you worse than Uri with his dauntless cake" I chuckle, Tobias just gives me a playful glare, and Uriah's head pops up, instantly full of energy "did you say dauntless cake" we all laugh at that. "Right, well I better go to work or my boss will kill me, you coming' Zeke?" Tobias states. Zeke glares at Tobias as if you say 'seriously bro? I'm still half asleep and I haven't even finished my coffee!' I find this funny, but I try to suppress the laugh. "Wait before you go, Candor or dauntless at my place tonight! You're coming! You don't have a choice" Uriah quickly puts in, there is a choir of, Ya's and ok's, and sounds good. "Ya sounds good, I'll be there, Zeke! Let's go!" Tobias urges, Zeke reluctantly stands up, without putting his coffee down and they walk away. As soon as Zeke leaves, Lynns face splats into her bowl of porridge and we all burst out laughing, but it's quiet for our gang. Who's missing. Oh my god! I totally forgot Chris! I'm a terrible friend. "Hey will!" I shout over the cafeteria noise. "Wheres Chris?" I ask. They moved in together last week. "She's not feeling well so she's just staying at home today" he sums up. I nod "I'll go check on her in my lunch break," I say, "thank you! I don't have a break today," he says sadly, poor guy. "Well, I better get going, or Tori's gonna be mad" there's another wave of ok's and good buys and see-you-later's. I stand up and head to the tattoo parlour. I walk in and flip the 'CLOSED' sign to 'OPEN', and I start opening up. Tori walk's in five minutes later with bud right behind her. "Hey, Tris! Thanks for opening up!" She says, "no problem" I give her a smile, and she returns is.

The day goes by quickly, I go a few tattoos and do a few drawing. "Tris! It's your brake now, you can go If you want" Tori says behind me, doing a tattoo on a middle-aged guy. I thank her and I walk out, I don't bother getting lunch, I just want to make sure Chris is ok. I hope she gets better soon. I walk to her and Wills apartment, and nock on the door, no one answers but I can here crying from the other room. I try the door and its open. I walk in to find the apartment empty. "CHRIS!" I yell out, the crying stops "WILL?" I hear her shout out concerned "NO? TRIS DUMBY" I yell out in reply, "WERE ARE YOU?" I shout, "I-i-im in here," she says quietly, I can hear sobs behind her words. I walk into the bedroom and find Chris curled up In a ball crying on the bed. "OH MY GOD CHRIS! IS EVERYTHING OK!" I run to her side but she just keeps crying. I pull her into a hug "hey. Shhh shhh, everything's going to be ok, what's the matter" I coo in a soothing voice, trying to calm her down, it works a little, she is no longer sobbing, but now instead just lightly crying. I pull away just a little bit to see her face, "Hey, it's ok you can tell me. I won't tell a soul" I say reassuringly. She hands me a stick but keeps crying. I look down at the stick and see its a pregnancy test. It's positive. "I-i-i-i-i'm only 16 Tris" she gets out in between hiccups "how am I going to tell him?" "It's going to be ok. Will loves you, he wouldn't leave you, and I'll be here, and your's got the gang. We will all support you!" I say reassuringly, but still quiet. "Thanks, Tris, but what if he doesn't want it! What if he leaves me, I cant raise this thing on my own!" She's hyperventilating now "Hey, hey. Look at me, breath. In, out. Try and match my breaths" I say, I take a deep breath, then breath out deeply, she copy's me, we do this for a minute and then she's good again. "Bloody hormones" we both laugh. "It's going to be ok. I promise" I tell her, she nods. "Look, I have to go, but I can swing by later after work before the game of C or D or you can come to mine?" I say. "That would be great Tris, can I come to yours? Wait what game of Truth or dare?" I laugh a little "this morning at breakfast, Uriah invited us all to go to his house tonight to play Candor or Dauntless" I sum up. "Oh cool, ok by Tris," she says with a smile. "K, See you later!" I wave, then Christina calls out just before I walk out the door "and Tris! Thanks" "no problem, that's what besties are for" I reply, winking. She laughs and I go. I go back to work, but I don't really pay attention to anything. I'm too busy thinking about Chris. I hope she tells him before we go to Uri's. I swear to god if will hurts Chris in any way I will slap a bitch. He can't just leave her, but I know he won't. He's a good guy and he loved Chris to the ends of the earth. They will be fine.
