Reena packed her things, her essentials, and her pets into her small car. She didn't bring much but the dogs and cat cage took up quite a bit of space. Nevertheless, she was not about to leave them.

She started the car, and began driving — surprisingly she made it to the interstate but only made it 2 minutes into merging when the emergency lanes filled with military traffic. Vans, trucks, and Jeep's flew past and stopped at different sections of traffic on the interstate. Eventually, there were cars lined up on either side of the interstate on the emergency lanes.

Reena calmed her whimpering dogs and hunkered down cat. "I'm sure we'll be fine, babies. Don't worry."

It was long until people were being herded out of their cars but and forced towards the exits of the interstate. She didn't get out mostly because of the huge anxious crowds of people that she knew could go off at any given minute. Instead, she hunkered down in her car — her small stature helping her hide away from the view of the militia — and kept her pets out of view as well.

She saw someone she recognized and tapped the glass hard enough to get their attention. When she saw them look at her, she opened the door and let them in. It was Jodi along with his three friends Jay, Mike, and a new girl named Ella. (Ella and Mike were dating)

Reena and Jodi began talking, trying to make a plan and trying to figure out what was going on as they hid in the car behind fabric and blankets they used to block the windows. Ella began explaining how she had multiple dreams of this happening, she assured them that this was just the beginning and that the living dead was going to walk the earth.

Mike and her fought for a little bit on this matter but eventually, with clear evidence, everyone admitted that Ella had a point. They had all seen the news headlines about the dead bodies, or perhaps more suitable was the people being eaten alive on the streets. Most of the group tried to avoid watching the news for lack of evidence to most things but this was growing out of control.

"What was the shaking a few hours ago? Do any of you guys know?" Reena asked as Ella shook her head. Jay stayed silent but Jodi spoke up.

"That was a power plant nearby. It blew up, something happened on the inside but no one knew what."

"Jesus..." Jay sighed.

"I... suppose we should leave then... before it gets any worse here."

"Are the trucks gone?" Mike asked.

"Most of them. The rest of starting to leave." Reena said looked from behind the fabric. "They're moving some cars to make way for what I can only assume to be trucks filled with soldiers so..." She sighed.

"So, we leave when they finish and don't ask question. We have to get to Tizi." Ella said as she looked at Reena. Reena gave a nod of approval and smiled at the young girl.

An hour later, they began on their way out of Lybor and to Tizi.
