Plan Ahead

Moonlight carried Reena's unconscious body to the 6th floor of the apartment building. Once inside, he laid her down and proceeded to quickly gather all the necessary medical equipment to keep her alive.

For three, almost four, hours Moonlight did nothing but give Reena care. He bandaged her feet, redressed her, washed out any dirt or blood from her hair with a bucket, gallon of water, and brush, wrapped her in a blanket to keep her warm, radioed into the base and let Tequila know what happened, and finally, as night began to fall, he stayed by her side and waited for her to awaken.

During the first couple hours after giving her medical attention, Moonlight went over what could've possibly happened to her. From her getting lost and forgetting to let them know she was leaving to just wanting to leave the group but being too scared to talk to Moonlight or Tequila. Neither of those added up.

The more Moonlight thought about it the more confused he got. Reena was always very, very outspoken even on her sick days. She also constantly talked about how passionate she was about helping the group which Moonlight found rather funny and sweet. She even decorated for the holiday coming up, Halloween, and was trying to scavenge clothes for everyone to wear so they could all take a break.

Besides all of that, why was she at the coast? Why did she say Moonlight's name i—

"Moonlight, switch over to the private channel on the radio, over." Tequila's voice came through the radio.

Moonlight did as such and talked through it. "Are you there Tequila? What's going on?"

"I think I know what happened to Reena. No. Sorry, I know exactly why Reena disappeared. And who did it."

"Who? What do you mean?" Moonlight asked as he looked over at Reena.

"Dingo has been acting extremely odd lately. Especially since you went looking for Reena. Since all of us went looking for her." Tequila said as he took a deep breath. "I confronted him a day or so ago and found out that him, Rambo, and a friend of Rambo — that not even I know the name of — came to Reena during her lookout and kidnapped her."

"...what?" Moonlight mumbled as Tequila continued.

"They had a plan to kill her. For no other reason than her being annoying and decorating the base for Halloween. What do we do, Moonlight?"

"Start making a fallout plan. Scout areas to move to and don't tell anyone else. Especially Rambo or Dingo."
