Enemies

Twenty minutes outside base, Reena began to feel as if someone was following her. The feeling didn't go away another five minutes into the walk so Reena decided to walk ten minutes to a small town called Tibby.

There, she ducked into a building and started up the three flights of stairs to the third floor then onto the roof. While going up the stairs, she caught the glimpse of four men. Reena thought about trying to talk to them but remembered the stories Moonlight told about two major enemies they were currently dealing with when Reena moved into her tent officially.

Thinking long and hard about this, and knowing she wouldn't be able to get away in time, Reena pulled out her flare gun and before shooting it, closed her eyes and hoped on hope that Tequila or someone was watching from base. After hoping for the best, she shot the flare into the air laying a violet tint on the area around her.

She was about to take her backpack back off and shove the flare into her bag but as she was about to take the first strap off her shoulder, the men opened the door to the roof.

"Hey, girl." One of them called out.

Reena cussed herself and turned around quickly hiding the flare gun behind her. "Yeah? Who are you?"

"My names Danny, these three are Yaman, Trek, and Carter." He said as he pointed at them and smiled at Reena in a sick manner. "What's a little woman like you doing out here?"

"Just... surviving." She said as she shrugged.

"Aren't we all." Danny said as he nodded to Carter.

Trek pointed an pistol at Reena and said nothing as Carter circled around her. Thinking fast, Reena stepped away and began her act of terror. "Wha... What're your guys doing?"

"Nothing, nothing. Just a quick check. Making sure you ain't got a radio or nothing tuned to anyone like Moonlight in the area." Danny said catching Reena off guard with the name.

During this, Carter grabbed her shoulder and took the flare gun from her hand. "I was just about to ask where that flare came from." Carter said as Danny shook his head.

"Tie her up, looks like we got another member of Moonlight's crew." Danny said with a chuckle.

Reena pushed Carter away and bolted for the door but Trek shot at her feet making her stumble into Danny, who grabbed her upper arms and got close to her ear. "Don't do anything rash, sweetheart. My guys have itchy trigger fingers."

Reena struggled against Danny, knowing full well they wouldn't shoot their leader, and let out a loud scream that was quickly followed by Carter's hand over her mouth. Reena glared at them as they gagged her mouth and taped her arms behind her back. She struggled and yelled through the gag to no avail.

Thankfully, however, her screams did lead a bundle of zombies to the buildings first floor so there was no getting out quickly. In fact, she was excited about this after hearing a gunshot not too far off that sounded like Moonlights Deagle.
