Having taken a shower and removed the feminine additives, I'm much happier. Well, I no longer feel like my skin is crawling. Dressing in black skinny jeans, a grey t-shirt and my leather jacket. Looking at the time, I decide to just finish getting ready, and grab food. Slipping my weapons into their places before I leave Gears room, locking the door. While I've already taken precautions and hidden the important packet, I don't trust people here. Not with Susan and her newest play at me.
I don't understand that, I've never made a move at Cobra, I'm here for business reasons, not love. I'm not surprised Susan sees me as a threat, I am one. Rolling my eyes I head towards the kitchen, hunting for food. The other day when we went shopping Cobra kept his word and got me actual food, although I've ended up cooking for Patriot, and more. It's only slightly annoying that I've been selected as the chef. Grabbing out steak tips and red potatoes I start a pan with some butter, throwing in some herbs as I prepare the potatoes.
Washing them I cut them up, stirring the butter before dropping them in. moving them around every so often I wait for the potatoes to cook most of the way through before adding the steak tips. The savory aroma fills the air, my stomach snarls gnawing on my back bone. I hate cooking when I'm hungry, it's a cruel and unfair torture, I force upon myself. "What are ya making tonight Hellion?" Patriot wanders into the kitchen nose in the air like a dog.
"My dinner." He chuckles and comes to stand next to me by the stove, his eyes focused on my meal.
"There's enough for me, right?" The man is worse than a teenager with an empty leg.
"Like you're gonna give me the option." Pulling the meat and potatoes from the stove I shut it off and plate it. I leave the extras on the counter, I'm sure there will be someone else to wander in and snag the rest of it. My cooking never hangs around all that long, for some reason a lot of people enjoy the fresh foods. I'm not shocked, I've seen what they were shoving down their gullets before.
"It's not my fault you're a good chef. What are you up to tonight?" I give a shrug as I take a bite out of my meal, I don't know how much Cobra wants to share with everyone. I don't know who to trust, in the club, I don't know who's the leak. To think that one of these men could be the reason behind Bear's death, sickens and disgusts me. I don't want that to be true, but if it is I need to be honest with myself, I can't let Bear down just because of family. Mislead faith and trust can't be the reason that Bear and Gears can't rest easy in their next life.
"Hellion, it smells good you made food I take it?" Cobra breaks my train of thought as he enters the kitchen.
"You guessed it." Cobra adjusts his jacket walking to stand next to me and stare into the skillet.
"Alright, we'll eat then head out. You ready for a long ride?" I point to the cupboard and make him get out plates as I node and shut off the stove. Plating the meal on three separate plates I set the skillet on the stove to cool down. Patriot grabs his plate and makes a move to scurry out of the kitchen.
"You're on dishes tonight Patriot. Don't make me hunt you down to do them either." His only response is to raise his fork above his head in a non-committal agreement. Asshole. I'll be hunting for him to do dishes tonight I'm sure.
"You're a good cook, better than Mom." Cobra chuckles and I shake my head as my lip quirks up. I hate to admit it, but the man is slowly growing on me. The worst part is I don't know what to do about it. He's a great guy, but he really needs to start looking elsewhere, I'm not right for him.
"Don't let her hear that, you'd make her blow her top." I don't need Susan pissed off at me more. She's getting on my nerves, I get it she doesn't like me, not that I give a damn. I don't need to worry about her blowing up and talking to the wrong people, that will get people killed, And not the right ones either.
