The drive back to the clubhouse is painfully brutal. The whole time I want to bawl my eyes out, screaming my anger and pent-up emotions I've kept bottled up since I left my home. Maybe I need to talk to Forger. The thought makes me shake my head, fighting back tears. No, I have to do this on my own. For all I know, he's the leak. One of them is the leak. The men that helped raise me, one of them is working to kill me. I need to learn how to make friends. The thought makes a choked cry of a laugh fall from my lips.
I turn into the clubhouse; I don't glance at the guard. I can't. My eyes burn, bloodshot with the urge to cry. This fucking sucks. Parking the SUV, my head drops to the steering wheel as I take a moment to collect myself. Don't show weakness. I straighten my spin and wipe at my eyes, hardening my features. Later, I'll let it out later. Grabbing the stuff from the lockbox, I get out, slamming the door before I lock it. With a deep breath, I march into the bar, glancing around for a moment before heading for Cobra's office, pounding my fist against the door.
There's a grunt, calling me in and I force the door open, stepping in to stare at Rubble and Cobra. My eyes harden as I stare at Rubble. "Get out, I have to talk to Cobra." Rubble arches a brow at me, not budging, confused with my arrival and my greeting.
"Hello to you too." Rubble mutters and shakes his head as he turns to face me in his chair. Growling, I shake my head and point towards the door.
"Rubble, I ain't in the mood for games. Get. Out." Rubble stares at me before looking towards Cobra for his move. Cobra shakes his head and waves a hand towards the door.
"We were just about done in here." He offers a shrug towards him, Rubble stares at him for a moment longer before he stands up with a shrug.
"You're the one taking the risks." Rubble chuckles and walks out giving a nod to me as he walks past me and I slam the door. Forcing myself to take a deep breath I walk in further and drop the stack of papers onto his desk making him glance at me before dropping his gaze to the papers.
"What's this?" Cobra picks up the papers, reading them carefully, his brows furrowed in confusion.
"You wanted in, you're in." I watch as he pauses and stares at me, waiting for me to continue, inhaling shakily I stare at him. "You want to know what the MC is buried in, now you're going to learn." He raises an eyebrow, rolling the chair closer to the desk to stare at me.
"I don't understand how this, ties into anything." He drops the stack of papers onto the desk and I glance at them.
"I haven't connected those yet. Gears left them to me, it has to mean something important." Cobra pauses and stares at me, keeping his silence. "Gears said I could trust you, you aren't a leak." I watch as he nods, his eyes narrowed, still dumbfounded by what I'm bringing to him.
"I'm glad you know I'm not a leak, I could've told you that." Rolling my eyes as I drop into the chair, glowering at him.
"I had to be careful, right now, even more so, I'm surrounded by enemies. Trusting the wrong person will get me killed." Maybe it's for the better. I look him in the eye, making sure to drive my point home. This is too important to throw away now. I made a promise.
"Hellion, we aren't your enemies." I shake my head vehemently.
"Cobra, you're wrong. There is a mole, at least two of them if I'm honest. I know one by name, the other is still leaking information." He stills and his eyes narrow as he watches me.
"Who's the leak you know?" It's my turn to still as I stare at him.
"Welder." I keep it simple, watching as his eyes widen for a moment and he stares at me, shaking his head in either confusion or disbelief.
