Chapter 11

Lonnie's POV

I'm lost in the mixture of confusion. I don't understand. From the mysterious text messages then Austin being stabbed to me being arrested for his stabbing. What in the hell is actually going on. As I headed to meet Rene to talk about everything, I felt like I was being followed.

I started to glow a little bit for protection reasons. As I continued to walk, I quickly turned in time to greet the person who I suspected was following me.They were masked so soon as I caught them they pushed me off and tried to run.

I don't know what came over me but I used my powers to stop and lift the person in that one spot. I walked up to them and brought them to my level. Who are you?" I demanded. They were silent. "I'm not going to ask you again. WHO ARE YOU?" I demanded for the last time.

"I work for B-" they were cut off by somebody screaming my name. It was Rene. "Lonnie.. put them down. Look where we are and look how late it is. Please put them down and handle it the right way," She pleaded.

I looked at her and back at the masked person. I put them down but still had a grip on the person without actually touching them. I walked up to them and snatched the mask off their face. "Jacob? Man what the hell are you doing here?" I questioned while letting him go. He looked terrified. "Look, we're not going to hurt you. This is my girl Rene. She'll help you if necessary just let me know wassup like seriously," I assured him.

"I work for Bobby. He's been working with the FBI. They plan on taking your powers and weaponizing them," Jacob explained. He have to be lying, I just seen Bobby the other day. He wouldn't betray my trust like that. Would he? I heard someone shoot a what I thought was a warning shot. I seen Jacob hold his neck. Shit.

I grabbed Rene's hand and we took off to the nearest car for cover. "Where did you park?" I asked her. "The next road over. Why?" she wondered. "When I say run I mean run. Don't question me on this. No matter what you see or hear Rene don't look back," I told her. I looked around the car to see if it was a clear chance for her to run. It was. "Run!" I exclaimed.

She took off and I wasn't to far but I stopped half way. I used to powers to lift up in the sky to see if I could see the assassin and once I did I clapped sending a shock wave to knock them off the roof. I came back down and went to meet Rene at her car. Now we really have a problem.

AJ's POV

I really need her to come out the bathroom. A missed period? What else could that mean? Am I ready to be a father right now? We both only in college I mean I don't know how to feel if she is. I really love Sadiyah and I want my future to be with her but is it too soon?

She walked out with the pregnancy test in her hand. "Yeah," she sighed handing me the test. "I guess we have a family now huh?" I asked looking down at the positive. She nodded. I can tell she was shocked and a little sad herself. I reached and hugged her.

"Man we got this. Alright. We go get through this and no matter what little boy or girl they go be straight," I told her kissing her forehead. The real question is how his family is going to take this. Guess we'll worry about that when it comes to it.
