Rene's POV
"But Lonnie-" "Don't touch me" he cut me off. "I trusted you and you lied to me... I- I have to go." He told me heading out the door slamming it right behind him. The show... It's tonight I- I have to go. I have to explain everything to him.
(Earlier that day)
"You're really sweet," I said. "Well you deserve it. You've been by my side for this long Rene and I really appreciate it." Lonnie responded back. I couldn't help but smile. "Come here I want to show you something," he told me as we walked outside. We made it to the park not to far from house and he grabs my hand.
"You know I have a show tonight right?" He asked. "I know and I will be right there front and center," I answered back. "So you know what I'm about to say then?" He stared at me while he was asking me this.
"Lonnie I know this, you been busy guy since the beginning of our relationship which is almost a year now? You have to go get ready for your show trust me I understand. That's why I appreciate the small time we do spend together every morning. It's the small things that matter" I responded back with a huge smile. He reached for a dying daisy and as he picked it up the daisy was growing back full of life as if it wasn't just pale and dull. "That's my girl," he smiled while placing the daisy in my hair.
"I'll call you later," he said giving me a kiss on a cheek goodbye. As I watched him walk away I reached for the daisy and smiled. "I think I'm falling in love," I whispered and started my way back home.
