Rene's POV

Sadiyah left the mall a little early because her feet were starting to swell which was perfect for us. Her baby shower is next month and we have to get the last minute things confirmed. As me and Lonnie shopped in Carter's, I asked if Austin could pick up the decorations from Party City on his way home.

He told me he'll try to convience Kee Kee to go with him but I knew for a fact she was going to turn it down. She still hasn't talked to Sadiyah since the incident. I understand where she's coming from but at the end of the day the baby is coming.

As I was looking for clothes, Lonnie tapped me on my shoulder. I turned to see a monster truck onesie with a little hat.

"Lonnie we are shopping for a GIRL not a boy," I rolled my eyes. "It would be nice tho," she sighed. I know this nigga did not say what I thought he said.

Not right now. I'm not ready for some kids. After how are moms treated us. I can't do it. I'm afraid of what could happen. What if I'm just as a bad as she was to us.

(Flashback)

"Come on mama it's not that serious," I told her. "Rene you and your sisters think y'all grown and I don't play that shit in my house. So if y'all hefas wanna be grown go do it outside my house you understand ?" She continued throwing all of our clothes outside.

"Because we went to one party. We always stuck here while you lay around with different niggas everyday. So who's the real hefa?" Kee Kee remarked rolling her eyes. Next thing you know I seen Kee Kee grabbing her face.

"Don't you ever! I am still your mother no matter how y'all feel," she sobbed. I can't remember the last time she actually was a mother to us. It was always Grandma or Auntie. Never her.

I went to the room and seen SaDiyah crying. I just sat next her and comforted her. "What are we going to do Rene? She's always going to be like this," she cried.

I honestly didn't know what to say. She always put us out to turn around and played the guilt card bringing us right back. It was a tiring for all of us. I knew for sure this time we wouldn't come back. Moms was choosing her boyfriend over us all because we went to a party that we told her about.

But because her boyfriend didn't want us leaving she got in our asses. If only she knew what he did to all of us. He doesn't want us around nobody else because he has touched and raped all 3 of us on his own and with his friends.

SaDiyah couldn't walk straight for almost 2 weeks and was bleeding heavy because how severe they would be. Kee Kee even got pregnant once and lost her baby because how stressed she was about everything.

We deserved better. And if she's going to continue to be with a man like him. We don't need to be here.

(Back to Present time)

Just thinking about my moms again made my eyes water. I wasn't trying to let Lonnie notice so I just walked away to pretend to look for something else. I guess he caught on.

"What's wrong?" I heard him ask. Shit. "Nothing. You found anything?" I changed the subject. "I found some outfits And a couple of toys but you're avoiding my question Rene. What's really wrong?" He asked me again.

"I was just thinking about my mom. Now can we go ?" I responded. He nodded so we headed to check out. While the girl was ringing us up it was kind of awkward.

"You're total is 235.88" the cashier said. Lonnie reaches for his card and swiped it. "You know you didn't have to right?" I told him. He nodded and thanked the cashier.

"I did it cause your sister is a friend of mines too," he smiled. The silliest but sweetest person. Lord.
