Sophia

We are going back to home. The cool breeze was hitting my face in the open jeep. I was looking in the rear view mirror as that cabin where my life changed was going farther and farther. Last night he gave me the choice of freedom and for the first time I choose for myself something that I wanted....I drifted to sleep thinking of last night and this morning. They were so different from the time I spent with him till now...

I woke up at midnight with my favorite song playing on the guitar somewhere. Where is Don? I thought to myself as I got up. I took out a black night slip and wore it because of course I was naked after that bath and the hot bathroom sex Don carried me out in a towel and we slept snuggling into each other. But who is playing this guitar? I moved downstairs towards the sound. "Don!.." I called out for him but didn't get any response. "Don, where are you?" I called out as I saw the front door opened. I stepped out "Do-" I was beyond amazed to see what I was seeing out there. It was so mesmerizing. The glass candles, hanging from the trees. Rose petals that covered the wooden patio. The picnic blanket spread out with a mini table top. A small chocolate cake was placed on it with a candle sparkling in the middle. Everything was so amazing. The wine and bowl of strawberries, the bonfire. But the most beautiful thing was Damon. The twinkling stars and the moonlight made his eyes look so stunning. He was just perfection. Standing just beneath those tress playing guitar. He was wearing the shirt I bought for him. 

"Da-Damon" I moved slowly towards him . He kept the guitar beside the tree and played the song he was playing on his phone "All of me by John legend." How he knows this is my favorite song? He pulled out his hand for me "Sophia will you dance with me?" For the time he asked permission for anything from me and I placed by hand in his. I couldn't find the courage to even blink my eyes I don't want to miss even a millisecond of this. We danced . We danced so close. I was lost in his arms he spin me towards him tucked my hair behind my ear and kissed me as the song ended. His kiss said what the song was saying. "That I give my all to you". He gave himself to me. He wasn't taking anything he was giving himself to me "Happy birthday Sophia" he whispered against my lips our foreheads were touching he was holding me by my waist. 

My birthday? I thought to myself, It's my birthday today?? I said it out loud I guess because he replied "Yes amore it is. The most special day, I am glad you were born my Doll". "Thank you D-Damon . I never thought of such lovely-.... ." "shhh first I want to give you your gift. Sophia I am going to say something to you and I want you to listen very carefully" I looked in his eyes with full attention, where is he going with this? "I am giving you the choice Sophia, for the first time and for the last time. I am giving you to choose your freedom." I looked at him with wide eyes and he continued "Yes, I want you Sophia, I want you to be mine not because I picked you up in an auction not because I married you in fit of rage to punish you but because you want to be mine" He continued holding me close. "You asked me that day why I jumped in front of the bullet to save you? Well I did it and I will do it again mio amore in a heartbeat no questions asked. I can and I will give my life to you because my Doll, you are my life" he said brushing my cheek. Tears started forming in my eyes and for the first time it wasn't because of sadness or fear. It was because I was emotional I was feeling loved for the first time in what seems like forever. He continued as he pecked me right at the corner of my eye before my tear could have fallen "I promise you Sophia that I will always protect you. I will make the sun rise and set for you. I know I hurt you and I will hurt you. I need that Doll. I am not a hero Sophia, I don't do good, its not in me. I want your tears as much as I want your laughter. But I promise I will make you love it every time. I will give you all the happiness in the world. No matter how much pain I give you I will always take care of your pleasure. I will bring world at your feet babe.  I promise you my loyalty, I will give you every ounce of myself but I will take all of you too till death do us apart because I love you Sophia". he kissed me lightly.
