10:47 PM - Downtown Canterlot City

You looked around the roof garden before exhaling.

Y/N: 'I've never told anybody the story of me and I.P.'s friendship, I haven't thought about him in over 3 years. But it'stime to tell Sunset the truth. She deserves more than anybody else.' You rolled back your shoulder and looked Sunset in the eyes.

Y/N: "As I said, it all began with the word orange."

6 years ago - Queens, New York

The setting is Auxier-Rhodes Middle School. I.P. Moore is now seen as a dorky 11-year-old with bottlecap glasses and straight beige hair. His uniform was neatly ironed and his shoes were shined to perfection. He walks past several lunch tables looking for a spot. He saw you eating alone while reading a book about Florida oranges. At first, you took no notice of him.

Young I.P. Moore: "Excuse me fellow student, but is anyone sitting here?"

Young Y/N: "Orange..."

Young I.P. Moore: "Yes, oranges are a great source of Vitamin C, but can I sit here? With you?" Your younger self realized he was talking to you.

Young Y/N: "Huh? If you wanna' sit here, go ahead. It's a free country."

Young I.P. Moore: "Thank you." He replied as he sat down. "So I take it you are fascinated in...oranges?"

Young Y/N: "They're cool I guess." You said nonchalantly. "Are you new around here?"

Young I.P. Moore: "Indeed I am. I just came back to The United States from England."

Young Y/N: *gasp* "You're from England? What part?"

Young I.P. Moore: "Me and my kin hail from Yorkshire. My great-great-great ancestors were very influential and are the origin of my family's great wealth."

Young Y/N: "Well my mom told me that riches don't make you as happy as a family does. Do you have a happy family?"

Young I.P. paused and sighed unhappily.

Young I.P. Moore: "No, we're not. While I am sure my parents are aware of my existence, they are too enveloped in their work to 'love' me..."

You looked down sadly but then, an idea popped into your idea.

Young Y/N: "What if I became your friend? Would that make you happy?"

Young I.P. Moore looked at you and looked back at you with the same smile.

Young I.P. Moore: "Yes, yes it would."

In the present...

Sunset Shimmer: "Awww, you were so friendly and accepting toward him. What could have happened to ruin that?!"

Y/N: "It was good at first but, then the bullying happened and it completely shifted our friendship."

Auxier-Rhodes Middle, 5 years ago...

Y/N (narrating): For the next year, I.P. and I were like that old saying: 'Two peas in a pod.' We did our homework together, studied for tests, played at each other's houses, ate over a pound of candy at sleepovers just to sugar-crash. We did nearly everything together.

Now 12 years old, you and I.P. were walking through the hallway to science when a class clown nicknamed Bubbles splashed his water bottle on I.P.'s pants. It looked like I.P. had peed himself uncontrollably as Bubbles exclaimed...

Bubbles: "I.P. sure loves to pee! Look at his pants!" He lied.

Young Y/N: "He didn't pee his pants! He-"
