Chapter 49 - A Holly, Jolly Christmas

Holidays Unwrapped Chapter 4

It was Christmas Day morning and you were relaxing by your fireplace. A large Christmas tree stands proudly in the corner of the living room. The train set you, Paul, and your dad put together looped around the tree, under a table, and in front of a bookcase.

Your parents were sitting on a loveseat adjacent to the large couch you were sitting on. Paul sits on your left and sighs happily while chewing on a Swedish tea ring (a cinnamon roll stuffed with dried fruit and nuts).

Paul: "Mmm... heavenly."

You chuckle just as Sunset sits on your right and hands you a cup of hot chocolate.

Sunset had hung out with your family and slept over on Christmas Eve. She and Starlight had slept in the guest bedroom. You had woke her up by hanging upside down on a web-line and kissing her.

The gift Santa had given you and Sunset was two rose gold bracelets that had your initials inscribed onto them. Whenever you two were close, the bracelets would glow red and green.

Sunset Shimmer: "Morning, babe." She kisses you on the cheek and nuzzles it affectionately. You look at your wrist to see your bracelets were glowing a faint green. A blush grows on your face for a moment but you lose it when your dad coughs.

You look at him with a raised eyebrow but in return, he gives you a wink and grins.

F/N: "My boy."

You blush in embarrassment while Sunset winks at your dad and giggles.

Sunset Shimmer: "He sure is, Mr. L/N."

F/N: "Please Sunset, we're practically family. You can call me F/N."

She nods and bumps your arm to signal that she wants to cuddle with you. Getting the hint, you put your arm over her shoulder and pull her in for a warm embrace. Starlight Glimmer comes in silently and sits on a comfy chair next to your mom.

After a few minutes of relaxation and peace, your mom gets up and clears her throat to get everyone's attention.

M/N: "Ok people, we have to start getting ready for the Christmas party at Sweet Apple Acres. It starts in two hours and we wouldn't want to be late."

She gives your dad a peck on the lips, you and Paul a kiss on the forehead, 7and hugs Sunset and Starlight before heading upstairs.

F/N: "I'll go make sure Mrs. L/N doesn't overstress about her wardrobe." He ruffles your and Paul's hair before heading upstairs himself.

Paul: "I'm going to play on my PC for a bit." He says as he goes upstairs as well.

Starlight Glimmer: "I left my other clothes at your place Sunset, can we go back to get them?" She asks.
