Ch 4 Bad Reaper

The baby reapers gathered next morning ready in a big hall in master V's quarters.
The Grimm came and sat at the table with a book and pen.
"Jimin, why is everyone so scared of the Grimm?" Jungkook asked Jimin.
"It's because our fate is in his hands. He can do whatever he wants. He does not answer to anyone and..and he is strict. Punishes severely, he kicks the reapers-"
"Baby Jimin and Baby Jungkook" the Grimm called. Jimin started shaking.
"Come forth"
They both stepped inf ront of the group.
"Why are you talking in your master's presence?" he leaned forward a bit.
"N-No Master...I would never talk infront of Master. J-Jungkook is asking me questions.  P-Probably cause he is new" Jimin told. The Grimm turned at Jungkook. Jungkook looked back scared with wide eyes.
"Come and stand here Baby Jungkook" the Grimm showed a spot beside him. Jungkook went and stood there.
The Grimm opened the book and read out a few names.
"Baby Mingyu, Baby Taehyun, baby Eunwoo,..."
"You guys stay back. Everyone else can leave"
Jungkook moved.
"Not you Baby Jungkook," he pulled Jungkook back by the robe.
"You'r getting punished too"
Jungkook chewed his lips as the other baby reapers left. Jin waved at him sadly.
"Kneel," he shouted in a deep voice. Jungkook knelt where he stood.
The Grimm walked infront of the baby reapers kneeling. He took out a whip from inside his robe.
He whipped one of the baby reaper and the baby reaper fell down crying while holding his head. He did the same to others. He looked at Jungkook and Jungkook closed his eyes tight. The reaper approached him and knelt before him, "Cause this is your firsttime, I won't punish you. Instead you get to watch" he lifted Jungkook's face by his chin.
"Open your eyes baby Jungkook," Jungkook opened his eyes slowly. The baby reapers are still screaming. He teared up looking at them.
"They are under a nightmare, and they will be, as long as I like," he said as he moved into the chair and did paperwork.
Jungkook felt tears well up in his eyes. He looked at them nervously for a couple of minutes, his lips trembling.
This is horrible. They are screaming. How can he be that heartless??
Jungkook waited and the anxiety in him grew more as time passed. He couldn't bear watching it. He slowly moved near the Grimm on his knees. He  tugged the Grimm's robes.
"P-Plea...please...s-stop it" he asked in a small voice. The Grimm looked at him. Jungkook couldn't tell if he was angry.
"P-Please..., they are hurting.." he put his hands together in front pleading. The Grimm looked at his hands. He leaned down a little bit
"This is punishment Baby Jungkook. Do you want to suffer along with them?" he asked seriously.
Jungkook looked at the baby reapers with tears in his eyes. 
"I-Inst..I-Instead....please..", the Grimm looked at him amused.
"Are you saying you'll take their place??"
Jungkook bit his trembling lip.
"Y-Yes..."
"But there's five of them. You're only one"
Jungkook let out a sob.
"P-Please...a-anything...s-t..op.. it" he pleaded again. The Grimm got up and Jungkook fell backwards. He moved back. The Grimm took the whip out and gave the baby reapers a lash each. They stopped screaming and fell down tired.
"Go to your dorms. Remember next time you slack off, I'll feed your heads to the ghosts" he told calmly. They got up and ran back as fast as they could.
The Grimm closed the door. Jungkook moved back to a corner hugging his knees in fear.
What is the Grimm going to do to me?
Jungkook closed his eyes tight as the Grimm came and crouched low in front of him.
He slowly dragged a finger on Jungkook's face, scraping a tear. He brought the finger to his hollow face and licked it. Jungkook can hear the click of the tongue.
"Such a bad reaper" he said in his deep voice. Jungkook trembled in fear.
"Come kneel here" he showed a spot. Jungkook moved to the spot on his knees. The Grimm circled around him.
He dragged the whip on top of Jungkook raising it high above and bringing it down as a strike.
Jungkook felt the whip burn him. He closed his eyes as vivid images of him being in the car appeared in his head.
They were about to crash.
"Dad!," he screamed but it is too late. Metal clanked and tyres screeched. Bodies crushed and bones broke.Blood trickled down around him. He screamed as he cried loudly. The scene repeated again and again. Jungkook kept crying as he shivered. He lost sight of what's happening. He has no idea of the time passing.
"No! No.." he kept uttering mindlessly.
He felt another slash on his skin and he jolted. The nightmare stopped. He slowly opened his eyes to look at the apathetic Grimm standing tall in front of him.
"One down. Four more to go."
Jungkook felt fear creep on his back. He flexed his fingers that are numb. He took a deep breath to keep the shivers at bay. He wanted to run back to the dorm soo badly. But the reaper would punish him more.
"Please... it hurts.." Jungkook begged, putting his hand on his heart.
"You shouldn't have taken their place then" the Grimm replied calmly. Jungkook put his head down crying.
"Tell me baby Jungkook, do you regret taking their place?"
Jungkook felt sad for himself.
You brought it on yourself  Jungkook..
"I-I'm s-scared" he cried as he hugged himself.The reaper circled him again. Jungkook trembled.
"You didn't answer master's question, baby Jungkook" he said seriously.
"N-No...I-I don't.....regret it" Jungkook told through his trembling.
The Grimm cocked his head to the side checking Jungkook out.
"Get up"
"Stop crying"
"Come help me with the papers for the remaining of your punishment" the Grimm  moved back to his table.
Jungkook relaxed a bit, rubbing his eyes off the tears and moved slowly to the table. He still sniffled lightly.
The Grimm gave him a bunch of papers and told him what to do.
Jungkook just has to arrange them according to page numbers. He took the papers and sat down on the floor. He carefully arranged them one by one. It took him a lot of time as he arranged multiple stacks of papers.
He showed them to the Grimm once done and the Grimm nodded in approval. He bowed a little bit and turned back to get away from there.
"Where do you think you are going?"
Jungkook felt a chill go down his spine. He went back to his position beside the table and waited. But the Grimm just did his work.
"Master V-V?"
"Hm?"
"M-My parents and brother....are they really dead??"
"It doesn't matter little one. You are and you can never go back. Now it's just you and your fellow reapers" the Grimm told him.
"Uh huh..uhh..What happens to the ghosts we reap?"
"They just move on to the afterlife, we are just helping them. The longer they stay as ghosts the more they lose their soul. Everything gets clear as you spend more days as reaper"
Jungkook nodded.
Suddenly there is a bell ringing.
The reaper got up and took his scythe.
"Stay here," he said going into a door.
Jungkook looked around.
What is in the door??
He waited for sometime and went to the door slowly opening it. It is a bit foggy. He slowly moved inside.
"Sir?"
Jungkook went into a corridor. There is a doctor coming..but the doctor didn't notice him and just moved past him.
He saw ICU rooms.
Where am I?

And then he saw it.

Patient : Yugyeom

Outside a room.
It's his brother!

Yeoggi hyung is alive...

"What are you doing here?"
The Grimm came towards him and dragged him back to the door by his robe.
He closed the door and locked it.
"You have five seconds to run..1..2.."
Jungkook looked at him with wide eyes,  turned around  and ran back to the dorm as fast as he could. He hugged Jin tightly, scared of the Grimm.
But the Grimm didn't come after him.
"You're okay. It's okay" Jinnie hyung took care of him.

Atleast Yeoggi hyung is alive.
