Ch3 Reaping

Jungkook tried to sleep after the other baby reapers left him alone. He tried to remember how he died. All he remembered is a car and him crying for his parents and brother. So he died and became a reaper. He remembered the officer telling there were no survivors. So his mom, dad and brother were all dead too. But they didn't become reapers. Does that mean they moved onto the afterlife? Jungkook wondered. He slept late in the night after doing prayers for his family.

"Hey!! Wake up. Baby koo!!" one of the boys grabbed his hoodie and tapped his cheek.
Jungkook woke up startled.
"Baby koo. Get ready. Master V will come soon. We have to get ready. Your robes arrived," the boy said.
"You are.."
"I'm bambam. Now get ready fast!"
Each baby reaper is given a small closet beside their table and a locker in the locker room. As he understood they were only basic necessities.
The Grimm came after sometime, everybody stood in attention beside their bed. Jungkook followed the same.
"I don't want to see any crying. We are going to secure a cave filled with ghosts today. I'll be watching everyone's improvement on reaping. I'll deal with the ones lacking personally"
Jungkook saw the boy, hoseok before him already nervously tugging his robes. Jungkook has never seen a ghost before. So he felt nervous too.
"Jungkook!"
"Y-Yes" Jungkook took a step forth.
"Stick close to me"
"O-okay"
They followed the Grimm out into weapons room. There are small scythes that each baby reaper equipped themselves with. Bambam helped Jungkook with his scythe. They went out of the dorm onto the road. There is a bakery right in front of their dorms. "Master V lives next door" Jimin whispered to Jungkook showing the gloomy big house. It seemed like a small town with people around.
"Are they all people?" he whispered as they went down the road.
"They are all dead. Some are reapers, some retired reapers, some just gaurds"
"Gaurds? Gaurds of what?"
"Gaurds of hollow"
"This town is hollow?"
"I don't know...they are just guards..don't ask me more than I know" Eunwoo pouted.
They went past the town for a couple minutes and are already at the border.
They travelled through the open empty burned down forest into a cave. The reapers closed around the Grimm upon entering the cave. The cave is creepy and dark, with bursts of chill air flowing now and then, small moans and howlings coming from deep inside. It gave off spooky vibes.
"Spread out in twos or threes, there's around ten ghosts in here. At least one for each team. Go get them" the Grimm ordered.
The reapers spread out into groups slowly. Hoseok, Jin and Jimin formed a group, Jungkook joined them.
"Baby Jungkook" the Grimm called to him. Jungkook went to him in fear and stood behind him. The reapers slowly moved further into the cave.
"Come with me" the Grimm put a hand behind him and Jungkook jumped moving forward, infront of reaper, weary of the hand on his back.

Long nails and long fingers....scary..

The Grimm entered confidently into the loudest creek where a ghost was snickering.
Jungkook felt scared, but the Grimm just dragged him in. There is a small tree from which the ghost is hanging. Jungkook screamed upon seeing the ghost. It looked white and almost like a human with no legs but a tail. He ducked down into a corner hugging himself.
"Eh he he he" it laughed more loudly upon seeing the Grimm, releasing a chilly fog all around them. Jungkook felt nauseous. The Grimm took out the scythe and it tried to run out of the cave. The Grimm blocked it with the blade and cut it in half. The ghost wailed and screamed as it disappeared into nothingness. Jungkook crouched low, tears already falling down from his eyes.
Slowly the chills passed and the fog cleared. The reaper crouched before him.
"See that little one? That's how you fight a ghost" he put a finger under Jungkook's chin raising it. Jungkook hiccupped lightly.
"That's not how you hold a scythe" he removed the tight grip Jungkook had on the scythe and adjusted it. Jungkook's hands shook badly. But he did as told.
"Wanna fight the next one?"
The Grimm is too close to him. A tear slipped past his cheek as he stared at the hollow face of the Grimm.
He shook his head no, as he brought both of his hands together before him pleading the Grimm.
"Such a shame. You are too weak to be a reaper. What shall we do?" he moved Jungkook's jaw to the side observing him. Jungkook closed his eyes in fear. Jungkook whimpered when the reaper moved closer.
"I'll let it go this time. Remember little one, I won't be so easy on you next time" he whispered in a deadly voice.
"Talk"
"Y-Yes M-Master V" Jungkook told in a small voice as the reaper lifted his chin up and up. Tears fell down from his eyes.
"I told no crying" he said in his deep voice, making Jungkook shiver.
"Brush them away" Jungkook brushed his face with his sleeve. The reaper let go off his chin.
"Let's see what your baby reaper friends are doing," he said as he got up.
"Follow me" he said and Jungkook scrambled behind him still on wobbly legs.
They went through many turns and into a wide clearing.
They saw two baby reapers fighting a ghost. The Grimm stood by folding his hands. Jungkook looked at them biting his nails and stepping from side to side nervously. The baby reapers seem to be struggling.

Why isn't he helping them?

Jungkook wanted to ask the Grimm to help them out, but he is too scared to open his mouth. One of the baby reaper felldown lifeless.
"Noo!" Jungkook screamed in horror. The Grimm turned at him annoyed.
The other baby reaper cried and ran to the Grimm.
"Please save us" he cried kneeling infront of the Grimm.
The Grimm snorted, "No, you are on your own. Go fight it" he kicked him back near the ghost.
The baby reaper screamed in fear and fell down unconscious.
Jungkook looked at them dumbfounded.
The reaper tched moving towards the ghost. He cut it down in one strike.
The Grimm then moved on and Jungkook followed close behind biting his lips.
They saw Jin fighting a ghost. Jin, Jimin and Hoseok managed to trap two ghosts inside a small hole in the ground. They worked fervently with their scythes damaging the shrieking ghosts little by little. Jungkook watched them along with the Grimm until the ghosts are reaped.
And so it went until the cave is fully cleared of ghosts. A few baby reapers passed out. The Grimm marked the cave and put a spell on it. He attached a sign that said

'Cave secured. Safe to go in'

with a skull sign and V next to it.
They went back to the dorms tired and wornout. The baby reapers who are all left standing helped carryout the passed out ones. Jungkook helped in carrying hoseok who passed out. It's almost evening.
"I'll let you guys recuperate and take rest today. Tomorrow I'll announce the baby reapers who did bad. They will be punished at my quarters," the Grimm announced and left.
Everyone started crying and speaking immediately after he left. Some reapers cried just cause they have been through too much.
"How are you?"
"Ohh noo baby!!"
"Jimin, Jimin" hoseok said and jimin gave him some potion to drink. Jungkook helped tend to the ones passed out.
"I'm scared. Master V will punish me. I did bad" hoseok started crying.
"Don't worry baby hobi. We killed two ghosts together. He will spare the three of us" Jin assured him.
Jungkook saw how baby reapers helped each other. He wanted to do the same.
Jungkook slept beside baby Hobi hugging him, to assure him and reduce his stress.
