Ch16 In vain

Jungkook went back to the dorms and told the story of how they killed the big monster. All baby reapers cheered and congratulated him. Jungkook learned to kill mosters. At night, he took the energy coins from his and some other reaper's lockers. He put it in a small pouch and attached it to his pants. He still has the coat the reaper gave him. He got the coat and took the scythe and went to the attic.
"Psst!! Shooky?" he searched for Shooky.
"Jungkook?"
"I am here to go save yeoggi hyung"
"Very good Jungkook, I'll lead the way, put me in your pocket"
Jungkook put Shooky in his pocket.
"Let's go"

The forest is creepy. The trees and the air creeped Jungkook out. The sudden chill gusts of wind spooked him out.
"This way" Shooky now got out of the cookie. It has a small body with a little tail, the size of Jungkook's palm.
"S-Shooky does the place have lot of ghosts?" Jungkook hugged his scythe close to his body.
"Y-Yes there are ghosts in the creek. They bully us. Especially Yugyeom"
"What? I won't let them bully my hyung" he moved forward.
"Yugyeom never comes out of the creek in the cave. I tried many times but he is too scared"
"Ohh no, Yeoggi hyung..I'm coming" he took careful steps.
They rested in one of the caves secured by the Grimm. The Grimm put markings and signs all around the forest. It helped Jungkook know what's safe and what's not.
Jungkook felt scared walking in the slightly drizzling forest, but he is stubborn enough to move forward with the scythe secure in his hand.
"S-Shooky..we are past the caves secured by the reapers, this part of forest doesn't have any signs. We are in too deep" he let out his thoughts.
"We are almost here, it's that cave see" it showed a spooky cave that has fog surrounding it completely.
Jungkook took some energy coins and rubbed them in.
"Okay stop here..there are two monster ghosts and lots of little ghosts like me. One monster ghost has a weak tail, it can be reaped easily if you hit it's weakness. The other ghost..I'm afraid you have to meet head on"
Jungkook nodded going in. He estimated  where the ghosts are based on the fog density.
"Hoo...woo.....woo" one monster ghost sat staring at a rock in the cave. Jungkook ambushed it and striked it in middle. The ghost screeched loudly turning towards him.
It screamed loudly in horror when it saw the scythe in Jungkook's hand. It attacked Jungkook throwing him to the side and letting out a sulky sigh. Jungkook stopped the sigh with his scythe but he still fell to the ground. This ghost seems to be scared of him. He knew ghosts feel more scared and weak when they get trapped. Jungkook struck the rocks of roof causing them to burst and tumbledown closing the enterance. The ghost wailed going into a corner. It is scared. It let out sigh after sigh which caused Jungkook to shiver badly. But he knew the scythe can protect him against the sighs. The ghost got tired and Jungkook took his chance to strike again. The ghost gave out a big wail and Jungkook striked it continously until it's reaped. Shooky came through the cracks and clapped.
"Well done. We have one more ghost. The one with weakness. I know where it is..follow me"
Jungkook dug the stones out with his scythe.He followed shooky as it lead him down to a deeper part of the cave.
"Its inside, go in carefully"
Jungkook went in and saw the ghost but unlike the other one, this one saw Jungkook. It attacked him by running towards him and latching on to his body. They both felldown. Jungkook felt scared at the cold touch. It sucked the energy out of him. Jungkook slowly lost his grip on the scythe. He let go off it and the blade hit the ground. Jungkook almost lost his consiousness.
Ohh noo...

Shooky loomed high above them. "Jungkook that's the creek yugyeom is in" it urged Jungkook to look at the small crack.
Yeoggi hyung..I need to save him..

Jungkook took out the energy coins in his pocket. He rubbed in a whole  bunch of them into his body.
Jungkook gained  a bit of energy and went for the scythe. He gripped it with firm hand, lifted it and dropped it on the ghost's tail.
The ghost screamed getting off of him. It went frantic and ran out of the cave.
"Shooooky....I'll get you back for this" it shouted as it scurried off.
Jungkook felt too tired to stop it. He let it go. He sat up panting.
"He is in there, I don't fit"
"Yeoggi hyung? I'm here.." Jungkook went near the small burrow that has a crack of opening.
"There are no ghosts here..it's Kookie..please come out"
"May be he is scared" shooky came near.
"Why isn't he talking?"
Shooky knocked on the crack a few times.
Jungkook has tears in his eyes.
"What happened to him?"
"He isn't here.."
"What? Why..why isn't he there??..N-No.." Jungkook cried hugging the burrow, "please..p-please come out hyung. I'll take you out of the hollow..I can make you alive again.." he cried falling down to his knees.
"Ohh poor thing..he must've ran from here..I'm sorry Jungkook.." shooky said with a sad face.
Jungkook sniffled controlling his cries.
"Shooky..shooky please help me find him..I need to take him back..I-"
"I know Jungkook. I'll help you find him, I promise, but you need to go back. The grimm might notice that you're gone. I'll look for Yugyeom on my own. I'll come find you when I  know where he is" Shooky got down to Jungkook's face level.
Jungkook nodded dejectedly getting up.
"I'll show you the way out" shooky said dragging him by his hand.
"Don't let the Grimm know" it said as it led him out of the deep forest.
