05: Hogsmeade trip

The next day was spent with Pansy asking Draco questions about his arm as we all sat in the great hall.

"Did it hurt, Draco?" She asks

"It hurt terribly, another minute or two and i could have lost my arm completely!" He over exaggerates

I zone out as i begin to hear ringing in my ears again, like i had been hearing all day. I close my eyes and look down. Draco doesn't seam to notice, he's too lost in telling his 'girlfriend' about his 'death defying' injury.

The next class that we had was with Professor Lupin, he said that he was teaching us about Bogart's, he had got us to all stand around a wardrobe

"They take the shape of whatever someone fears the most" Hermione said, answering the Professors question.

He says that there is a simple spell to stop a bogart.

"Ridiculus!" He gets everyone to shout.

"This class is Ridiculous" Draco whispers and Crabbe, Goyle and Pansy laugh. I just stay silent.

Neville is the first to try and then we all get into a line and try one by one, until its my turn.

The bogart looks at me and drops to the floor, turning into a bottle. I look closer and see that the bottle is labeled Amortentia.

I suck in a breath and i point my wand at the vile

"Re-" The ringing starts again, but this time its louder then before and i fight to not pass out.

"Re..Rediculus!" i shout and then run out the room as the bottle shatters and becomes a puppy, rolling around on the floor.

"Umm, class dismissed!" I hear professor Lupin shout as the others start to exit the classroom.

"Scarlet?" I hear an hour later in the astronomy tower. I look up, expecting to see Draco, but sigh as i see Harry.

I wipe my eyes. "What do you want, Potter?"

Harry comes and sits besides me, leaning on the wall, by the balcony.

"Are you ok?" Harry asks

"What a stupid question, Potter"

"I..I mean do you want me to get Draco?" He says quickly

"No...I think i always knew that Draco didn't really care for me as much i cared for him. I mean he is a great brother, he just...He wants to be exactly like Mum and Dad and they are not nice people"

"They're your family though... that's got to count for something" Harry says

"Anyway, i should be asking you if your alright... i saw what happened to you in there" I say

"Oh, i'm fine, honest. I think that i would have been fine without professor Lupin standing in, but you know" Harry says as i laugh.

"Your not as bad as i thought, Potter"

"Thanks?"

I stand up and wipe my eyes. "But tell anyone and your dead"

"I gathered..."

I smile and walk back to the Slytherin common rooms.

"I was looking for you" Draco says as i walk into the common room

"Well, obviously you didn't look very hard then" I say as i sit down on one of the couches in front of the fire place.

"What's got you in such a mood?" Draco asks as he sits down next to me.

"Nothing" I mutter "But, Draco, I was wondering..... who do you love the most in this world?"

Draco thinks for a second until he says, confidently "Father and Mother.. why?"

"Nothing... i think I'll be off to bed, Night Draco"

"Night, Scarlet"

"Now remember, these visits to Hogsmeade village are a privilege. Should your behavior reflect poorly on the school in anyway, that privilege shall not be extended again" Professor McGonigal says as she stand in front of many students in front of the school.

"I'm surprised your privilege hasn't been revoked, Draco, heard you were messing around with Millicent Bulstrode when you were supposed to be in Herbology. Apparently Professor Sprout went mad" I say, while trying not to laugh at the look on Pansy and Draco's face.

"What?!" Pansy and Draco shout for opposite reasons

"I would never be caught dead with that Half-blood!" Draco shouts

"It was a joke, no need to call her names!" I defend Millicent.

Harry walks up to McGonagall

"No permission form signed, no visiting the village. That's the rule Potter." McGonigal informs him

"Looks like Potter can't go, no Mummy and Daddy to sign his permission slip" Draco taunts

"Shut it, Draco!"

"Sticking up for Potter are we?" Draco asks

"As a matter of fact.. yes." I say as Draco looks taken back. "I am sticking up for Potter, and you should just leave me to it!" 

Draco gets pulled down the bank to Hogsmeade by his friends as i walk over to Harry and his group as the other students follow Draco down the bank.

I see Harry turn around and walk back into the castle and his friends begin to walk down to Hogsmeade with the others.

I begin to follow Harry into the castle, until i get called back by McGonagall

"Miss Malfoy, you have handed in you slip, you are permitted to go" She points out

"Thanks, Professor, but i think Harry needs some company, more then i need a Butterbeer" I tell her as she smiles and nods her head, understandingly.

By the time i catch up to Harry, i find him talking to Professor Lupin on the Covered bridge.

As i begin to walk closer to them, i hear Harry talking

"Before i fainted, i heard something... a woman, screaming" Harry says

"I heard it too" I say as i make my presence known and the Professor and Harry look up at me 

"Miss Malfoy, what are you doing here?" Lupin asks "I thought that i saw you give in your permission slip this morning"

"You did, sir, but when i saw that Harry was alone here and his friends had decided to go to Hogsmeade without him.. I thought he may need some company, but i guess i was wrong" I say as i begin to walk away

"No, stay!" Harry calls after me.

I slowly turn back around and stand next to Harry looking out over the view with Harry next to me and Lupin on the other side.

"If you don't mind me asking... You said that you heard the screaming too" Harry says

"Yeah.. I did" I say, taking in a breath "But i didn't hear a woman, i heard a man.. a boy to be exact"
