"Expect the unexpected."
For Beverly, all it took was death. For Reggie, all it took was the love he never thought he'd find.

'Surprise'
After her mother passed away, Julie Molina could hardly bring herself to look at an instrument much less play one. So, when her dad asked her to clean out her mother's studio, she'd been hesitant at first, however she agreed, seeing as she was the reason her father wanted to relocate in the first place.
Before dinner, she did as asked and took the trip to the studio she and her mother used to play and write music before her untimely death. Shakily, she opened the barn doors to the studio and walked into the room that held so many memories.
She flipped the light switch and made the short walk to the piano, pulling off the sheet protecting it from dust. Taking a seat on the bench, she looked up at the ceiling, "I'm so sorry, Mom. That I haven't been here."
Stepping away from the piano, she climbed the stairs to get to the loft, scanning the instruments and bags she didn't recognize. She looked at the keyboard, the letters B, A, L, B, and R had been engraved into the top right corner. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a CD reading 'Sunset Curve' and grabbed it out of curiosity.
She took the CD downstairs and played it in the CD player, taking a seat on the couch to listen.

Beverly had lost count of how long they'd been in the dark room, not caring much either while she attempted to comfort her brother as he sobbed. She looked to Luke and Reggie for help, but neither noticed, too wrapped up in their own thoughts.
"How long have we been here?" Asked Reggie, frowning in distress.
"It can't be more than an hour or two," Beverly replied over Alex's crying.
"Do you hear that?" Luke held up a finger, looking around like a mad man.
"Oh, boy, I think he's lost it," Alex wiped away his tears and stood up.
"Shh!" Luke glared at the older blonde.
"Wait, I hear it too," Reggie looked around and reached a hand out to help Beverly up off the floor.
She took his hand and stood up, the music intensifying.

"It's our song," Luke strained his ears to hear.
Take off, last stop
The floor began to give out, the room began to shake, the four grouped together in the center of the room.

In a matter of seconds, they were freefalling out of the dark room, screaming at the top of their lungs while reaching for a football in the abyss of light.
