Secret Origins Part 3

When our heroes finally found a way to leave the virtual world, the last thing they ever expected was to come face to face with their thought-to-be-dead enemy, the Shredder.

Shredder: "Attack"! "Destroy them all"!

Baxter laughs while the Fugitoid recoiled at the sight of his spider-bot body.

Fugitoid: "Oh dear, and I thought I was stuck with an unpleasant robot body".

Before anyone could react, Baxter shot the Fugitoid with lasers that sent him crashing into the Oracle pods.

Splinter: "My children, attack"!

With the order to attack given, our heroes charged forward into battle as their opponents did the same. Both opposing sides met in the middle where weapons clashed, but that left Mortu alone to fend off the Shredder's elite guard. Luckily for him, three Guardians arrived just in time to provide him backup.

Guardian: "Protect Mr. Mortu"!

One of the Guardians yelled as the three of them ran and jumped in front of Mortu, blocking the Elite ninjas' path and forcing them to cross blades. It was made clear that if the Foot wanted to get to Mortu, they would have to get through the Guardians.

Nearby, Master Splinter uses his walking stick to block a kick from Hun and quickly pushes his leg up, making him lose his balance while allowing Splinter to strike him hard enough to send the large man flying into an organic pod hanging on the wall, smashing it to pieces as Hun collides with it.

But while everyone else was busy fighting the main force, Mortu was quick to strike down a Foot ninja when the Shredder suddenly jumped in front of him.

Shredder: "Mortu, I have anticipated this moment for nearly ten centuries".

Mortu: "I'm surprised that with your genius, it took you a thousand years to find us".

Mortu countered before he and the Shredder leaped at one another. The moment Mortu was close, Shredder tried slashing him with the steel claws on his wrist but Mortu was able to catch himself on Shredder's arm and flip over his head, landing behind him. The two of them were quick to turn to face each other as Shredder spun his body around to kick Mortu, only for his attack to be dodged as Mortu quickly countered with a sweep kick that Shredder jumped over. However, their brief exchange of words made our heroes realize something important about their enemy.

Leo: "If those guys have been enemies for that long..."

Leo says as he quickly blocks the sword wielded by a Foot ninja and quickly kicks him into the air where Ruby shoots him, sending him flying into the wall.

Ruby: "Then that would mean..."

Ruby says before twirling her scythe and swinging it at a Foot ninja's legs, sweeping their feet from under them as Splinter sends them flying with a swing of his walking stick.

Splinter: "This is the same Shredder from a thousand years ago"!

Yang: "So what, is he immortal or something"?!

Yang asks as she punches a Foot ninja who flies across the room and over Mortu who blocks a kick before jumping back when Shredder tries to slash him. But as he was about to counterattack, Hun snuck up from behind and grabbed him, squeezing him and preventing him from breaking free by keeping him in an arm lock. Having been immobilized and unable to break free from Hun's hold, Mortu could do nothing as the Shredder approached, ready to put an end to him.

Shredder: "Finally".

But just before Shredder could deliver the killing blow, a trio of Utroms came flying from behind and opened fire on the Shredder and Hun. While Shredder was able to defend against the incoming lasers, Hun was not as lucky as he was hit by the lasers and was forced to drop Mortu and run into cover. With their leader freed from the enemy's grasp, the Utroms then focused their fire on the Shredder who continued to shield himself with his gauntlets before he suddenly leaped into the air and grabbed two Utroms. The moment he lands back on the ground, Shredder proceeds to slam both Utroms on the floor before sending two other Utroms flying with a split kick. One of which was struck so hard, that the poor Utrom was knocked off their flight pad and was left defenseless as the Foot Elite wielding an axe raised his weapon over his head ready to chop the helpless Utrom in half.
