The Return of Nano

Some time has passed since the whole "Ultimate Ninja" incident and things have gotten somewhat back to normal for our heroes. Although Leo's battle with the Ultimate Ninja ended with his victory, they were still left with quite a few unanswered questions which Master Splinter, who seems to know what went on that night, was adamant about answering said questions at a later date and because of that, our heroes had no choice but to let it go for now.

As of right now, it was still early in the morning and April was still going through her morning routine. She stood in the bathroom wearing a blue robe, a facial mask on her face and had a towel wrapped around her hair. By now, she'd almost completed her daily routine, but when she was going to brush her teeth, she discovered, much to her frustration, that someone had used up all of her toothpaste.

April: "Ugh"! "Somebody took my toothpaste again"? "I didn't even know turtles had teeth".

As April stormed out of the bathroom, through the kitchen, and into the open area of the lair, she was suddenly greeted by Mikey who was coming straight at her whilst riding a flying skateboard. She didn't need to be told twice when Mikey yelled at her to "move" and she quickly ducks as Mikey zips by overhead before bouncing off a support pillar which sends him flying back towards her.

Mikey: "You're in the middle of my obstacle course"! "Whoa"!

Mikey exclaims as April takes a few steps back as Mikey bounces off the ground and performs a railslide on a sawhorse. Leaving April to watch Mikey zip across the lair, passing Donnie and Weiss as he does so.

April: "Don"! "Weiss"! "All that amazing Utrom technology, and you built Mikey a flying skateboard"?!

April exclaimed as she approached Donnie and Weiss who were busy with another one of their projects. While Donnie sat on the side of the tidepool putting on his flippers while also having strapped an oxygen tank on the back of his shell, Weiss was holding a map in one hand and a pencil in the other marking off areas on said map.

Donnie: "Well, you know Mikey, April".

Donnie said as he put on his diving helmet.

Donnie: "It's the only way Weiss and I could get any peace".

Weiss: "Plus, let's not forget what my complete dolt of a partner asked for after we built the skateboard for Michelangelo".

April could only look between Donnie and Weiss with a horrified expression.

April: "I'm almost afraid to ask but...what exactly did you build for Ruby"?

Weiss: "Nothing much, just a slight modification to her weapon".

Before April could ask another question, she was quickly interrupted by Ruby yelling:

Ruby: "Coming through"!

April didn't have time to look as she quickly ducked when Ruby suddenly came rushing by riding on her scythe like a skateboard.

Ever since Donnie and Weiss had brought some of the Utrom's technology back to the lair, Ruby has been dying to see what could be made with it. More specifically, she wanted to know how she could modify her weapon with it. But after seeing Mikey flying around on a flying skateboard, she knew exactly what she wanted and proceeded to beg Donnie and Weiss relentlessly until they gave in and helped modify Crescent Rose, and now, not only could her baby transform into a scythe or a bolt-action sniper rifle, but it could also be turned into a hoverboard she could ride on.

As Ruby rushes by some spiraling stares, she quickly veers to the right and uses the wall to instantly change directions as she heads straight towards a set of three targets she'd set up before testing her weapon's new feature. Grabbing her mother's axe off her back, Ruby transformed the weapon into a rifle and quickly shot two of the targets before quickly changing it back into an axe and as she closed in on the last target, she swung the axe, successfully chopping it in half.
