A/N: Slightly later than promised, but here is chapter 10! There will be another page with photos of their purchases so far, if you have any ideas please let me know.

Maggie, Danni, Alex, and Teggs were all ready to head out on an adventure to the mall to buy Alex some new things, except for one slight hiccup.

"Babe" Maggie started.

"Yes?" Danni asked, tying up her converse quickly.

"Alex doesn't have any shoes"

"Oh." Danni was quick to straighten up and stand next to her girlfriend, watching Alex talk to Teggs with her bare feet swinging.

"I guess we know what to buy first?" Danni suggested, shrugging her shoulders.

"That's not the point, how did we not notice that she doesn't have shoes!" Maggie exclaimed, gesturing at Alex.

Alex hadn't even noticed that they were talking about her, she was too busy talking to Teggs.

"An' dey give me cuggles, an' 'Anni make 'pecial d'ink, an' we do roars!" Alex carefully roared at Teggs, not wanting to frighten her best friend accidentally.

"I teach you to roar" Alex smiled, walking Teggs through the steps like she had when Jane was at the house.

"Alright munchkin, it's shopping time!" Maggie hoisted Alex onto her hip, leaving Danni to lock up the house and open the car for them.

Danni drove while Maggie sat in the back with Alex, keeping a firm grip on the ever-moving little while silently praying that they could buy a car seat today.

They were headed for a shopping mall slightly out of town, as it specifically catered to littles and their caregivers. Danni and Maggie had been before when they bought the few onesies and diapers they stored in the house, but had never looked further, so they were just as excited as Alex.

"Here we are!"

Once the car was parked, both women turned to look at Alex, who quickly shrunk in her seat and hid her face behind Teggs. He was braver than her.

"Okay baby, there are a few rules to today" Danni started, letting Maggie move Teggs away from Alex's face so that they could see her.

"One, please always keep a hold of one of our hands so we know where you are. Two, if you see anything you like, please tell us. Three, this is for you, so your opinion matters baby if you don't like something we won't buy it. And finally, four, if at any point it gets too much, please let us know and we'll try and make things better okay?"

Alex blinked slowly, turning her head like a dog and furrowing her brow while she thought through the rules. She was expecting harsher rules, and she certainly didn't think that she'd get a choice in what they bought. It took her a minute to think, but she nodded and was let out of the car being carried by Maggie, shoes were still required.

When the three arrived inside the mall, they were struck by how many shops and variety there was. They weren't ready for this much choice. There were shops for shoes, clothes, toys, furniture, outdoor furniture if it was potentially something someone would want, they had it. Danni was quick to pull a list out of her pocket, going through it to remind herself and Maggie of what needed to be bought. This was one of the times that she was very glad of how much money she and Maggie made versus how much they spent, it meant that they had plenty to spoil their baby girl with. Wait. Their baby girl. Theirs. Danni shook her head, that could be dealt with another day.

"Okay, so shoes, clothes, furniture, toys and books. We better start with shoes so someone doesn't have their little toes sticking out all day." The last bit was aimed solely at Alex, and Danni tickled the soles of her feet to make a point.
