A/N: In honour of the fact that I am now in shielding until 31st March, have another chapter,   complete with a chapter of pictures for you all to be jealous of.

EDIT: I have just realised that not everyone will know what shielding is. Basically, because of some health conditions, it is believed that should I get covid I will most likely end up seriously ill (hospitalised, that kinda stuff). So I have to stay at home, can't go to shops or pharmacies, no socialising, only 1 hour of exercise a day, no going to work, no physically going to college, all that fun stuff, until it is declared safe enough for me to go out as everyone else. And this is on top of 2 metres social distancing and wearing a mask.

For the big name event, while it isn't this chapter, I assure you it is near, and it will be extraordinarily cute (and I can also assure that grandparents are involved to make it that bit extra).

But for now, enjoy another chapter!

Alex was playing with her train set in the living room while Maggie and Danni nervously waited for the doorbell to ring. After some cuddles and plenty of reassurances, Alex was now over the idea of having grandparents and was happy and anxious-freely playing with her trains.

Just as Alex's train pulled into the station, the doorbell rang, making everyone jump.

"Okay, they're here. Everyone calm, no-on panic" Maggie muttered to herself, smoothing down her trousers as she walked to the front door.

She opened it to see all four parents talking among themselves, suggesting that they had been stood there before they rang the doorbell. Each one had at least one gift bag in hand, varying in size from small to comically large, (the type of large where you're not sure how someone found one so big in the first place).

"Mum, Dad, Clara, Marco, so nice to see you" Maggie smiled, hugging each person individually as she invited them into the house.

"Lovely darling, but where's the baby?" Clara asked, making a bee-line for the living room once she spotted Alex with Danni.

Upon realising her mother was in the room, Danni stood up to greet her, but Clara swiftly ignored her and instead offered her arms to Alex for a hug.

"'Lara!" Alex squealed, hugging her grandmother tightly.

"What's am I, the dog's dinner?" Danni huffed, settling for a hug from her dad and Maggie's parents.

"'Ook, trains!" Alex pointed excitedly at her set, dragging Clara to it and patting the space next to her.

Clara proceeded to gush over the train set, nodding as Alex babbled at her and helping make train noises as Alex pushed it around her track. Marco, Tonya and Giuseppe held back, figuring it was best to let Alex get to know them slowly.

"Tea?" Maggie asked.

A chorus of yeses sent her to the kitchen, and she dragged Danni with her.

"Do you think it's going to go okay?" Maggie asked anxiously, wringing her hands while she waited for the kettle to boil.

"It's going to go perfectly, our parents are great with kids, and Alex already loves Mum" Danni was quick to reassure her girlfriend.

Maggie agreed half-heartedly, but was still biting her lip and holding her hands, she was so nervous she thought she was going to burst.

"Hey," Danni said softly, placing one hand over Maggie's and resting the other on Maggie's cheek so she had to look at her.

"Everything is going to go fine, Alex knows her limits and my mum can help introduce them all to her. The only reason anything would go wrong is if they haven't brought Alex presents, and we already know they have" Danni kept eye contact with Maggie as she spoke, smiling as Maggie leaned into her hand.
