Two weeks seem to drag.

New York had a lot of options and places to visit, and while I do love this little island and the beauty of the ocean and the little animals, there's not much more to do than talk to locals, swim in the ocean and lay on the beach. It was nice for the first week, but as I near going home, it seems to drag a little.

Maybe it's just because I'm dying to go home now that it's only a few days away?

My phone is somehow still managing to take videos and pictures despite there being so many. To pass extra time, I've been learning tik tok dances although I haven't posted anything yet.

Instead of dwelling on the fact that I leave this place, I leave my phone at the hut and I head to the beach with a towel to catch up the final hours of sunshine before it sets. One thing that I do absolutely love about this place, the sunsets are stunning.

As a wolf, my skin will heal from damages due to the sun, I won't burn, and my skin won't dry out. I suppose that is a huge perk.

"You really leave in the morning?" Maria asks.

"I do, I'd say I wish I could stay but...god I miss home!" I exclaim with a huge sigh of relief.

The locals laugh, understanding my need to just see the people I love again. One whole month, it seems so long, it has been so long.

"One day, you come back with your boyfriend, yes?" One of the elderly women say, taking my hand.

"I will definitely try." I agree, nodding as I hug the frail little lady.

"Take this with you, a gift." One of the other women say, Ophelia. She hands me a necklace of some sort.

"This is beautiful, thank you so much." I say, giving her a hug and kissing her cheek.

She smiles. "You're welcome."

Moving my hair out of the way, I fasten the thinly braided leather necklace at the back of my neck. The small glass turtle sits just above my cleavage, it's light blue colour reminding me of the ocean.

"And for your boyfriend." Ophelia says, handing me another, except this one is gift wrapped.

I couldn't help but smile. "You're too kind, thank you."

After I said goodbye to everyone, and graciously accept their gifts of goodbye, I head back to the hut so I can start packing. In a way, I do feel sad that I have to leave, it's such a beautiful place and the people here are just so...friendly. But I'm more excited than sad, because in a matter of hours I'm going to be heading home to my mate, my brother, and my best friend.

I can't wait to hug Hardin. It feels like a whole lifetime since I last touched him. The t-shirts work a charm at night time, but I've been so excited the past couple of days that I've barely slept even with them.

Making sure everything is packed away neatly, I leave out only a shall cover up. My flight leaves at four, soon I'm heading for the ferry that arrives in like thirty minutes.

Setting everything by the door, I double check that I have everything with me, quickly cleaning up the little untidiness of the place before grabbing my phone, bag and suitcase, and heading out of the hut and down the beach to the doc.

I sit on the edge and wait for it to come in, soaking in the fading sunset across the horizon. So beautiful.

The ferry arrives in no time, and I board it, joining the lady that helped me here the day I arrived. She smiles and makes sure I've got my flight ticket and passport on hand.

I remain silent for the most part, even as we reach mainland and she drives me to the airport, I say virtually nothing. I'm tired, and I'm a little sad, and I'm worried about seeing Hardin.

What if I've changed? What if things are different between us because I've been gone so long? What if it's awkward?

Going through airport security, and handing off my suitcase, I make my way to the boarding area of my flight pretty easily. The airport is almost empty, it's small and night time so I suppose there aren't many flights right now.

I wait for only half an hour, before boarding the plane and taking my seat beside the window.
