Jeon Aera's pov:

Another week passed with no results, driving the once calm lady crazy.
"I should have known that Shin is nothing but useless" muttered Aera as she kept calling him, but that idiot had of course switched off his handy.

*knock knock*

"I don't have the nerve or the motivation for work-related matters, so if you aren't Mr. Shin, you can kindly fuck off" said the woman firmly, with no room for questions.

No answer.

*knock knock*

Sigh.
Whoever that person might be, they can already prepare for a couple of not-so-child friendly insults for trying to mess with her.

"Come inside."

The door creaked once before a familiar figure entered.  The stone cold expression matched his equally unfriendly aura.

"I thought that I told you to never trust anyone who works for you as nobody is incorruptible. We're the elite, we have no friends. We're constantly surrounded by people who can't wait to betray us. If you still don't belive me just take your lover boy, Mr. Shin, as an example.
That fucking weakling was so afraid of me and my reputation that the moment we met, he tearfully begged me to spare him in exchange for important information.
I didn't know him, nor did I know what his problem was, but it seemed like he was smart enough to acknowledge that being on your side has consequences.
You cannot imagine how 'hurt' I was when I found out that my dear wife chose our son instead of me.
But I have to admit that it's truely impressive, at least for me, that this time around you're not only bluffing.
You're starting to be a real Jeon but unfortunately your timing is wrong."

"What the fuck do you want?!"

"I want you to stop" demanded her husband sternly.  "That bastard of a son deserves nothing! Neither our lifestyle nor your attention. I can already promise you that he did it and now he should suffer."

"If you're so sure, why are you trying to sabotage me? Are you afraid to accept that you made a mistake?"

"Shut up. I know that he did it!"

"Then let me do my thing. If you really are so confident about it, then there should be no way for me to be able to prove you wrong.  It doesn't hurt to do a little further research, right?"

"Whatever" spat the arrogant man, leaving his wife alone.

"Asshole"

Jungkook's pov:

Jungkook was spooning jimin from behind enjoying how pliant jimin was in his hold.
He felt pretty relaxed until a flashback of what Yoongi's parents told him occurred to him.
He subconsciously tightened his grip on the smaller one while pulling him impossible closer to himself.
Of course, Jimin noticed Jungkook's strange behavior, but what was he supposed to do?

'Fuck that old man, what did Jimin ever see in him? mocked Jungkook him in his mind.
But what bothered him the most was this ugly wave of increasing insecurity that hit him every now and then, gnawing at his confidence and slowly but surely breaking his walls. He wanted to get closer to Jimin, show him that he needed him.
They had to talk more, share their past, and plan their future, but whenever he thought about it, he realized how little he actually knew about the person he claimed to love the most.

"Where are your parents?"

"What?"

"Where are your parents and why don't they live with you?"

The cat-eyed male should've known that sooner or later Jungkook would've asked him this question one way or another since he was (almost annoyingly) curious about him, but he still wasn't prepared for when it actually happened.
Jimin saw no reason to lie, as Jungkook was also honest about some of his private childhood memories.

"I- One day they woke up and fell out of love. I guess that things like that can happen, but they didn't only lose interest in each other, but also in me. They divorced and remarried but
I didn't get along with any of my parents' new spouses and since both of them wanted to start a new life they sent me away"

Jungkook felt like he could punch those two idiotic bastards in their ugly faces.  They deserved it.
How dare they treat his Jimin like a toy?

"Do you still love them?"

"Yes and no. I love the memories of them. I miss the way they'd look at me as if I was the best thing that could have ever happend to them.
I miss the way my father called me his little troublemaker or how my mother would brush my hair but i don't love the people they are right now" whispered jimin with a small voice.

"They hurt you..."

"They did.... but that's okay. Now i have people who really appreciate me"

"Like me?" asked Jungkook hopefully giving jimins shoulder a loving peck.

"Yes, like you but also tzuyu, shuhua, lisa and so many more. We're all children that nobody wanted till we found each other."

"You're right, we found each other and now that I have you I swear to my life that I will never leave you.  You're forever mine"

Jimin smiled.  The thought of being by Jungkook's side until the end sounded like a dream.

"Hmmm... don't disappoint me"

 don't disappoint me"
