Drowning

Jungkook wasn't the type to get insecure, nor did he like to doubt himself, but ever since his little angel entered his dull life, he's been suffering from different kinds of anxiety.

Call him crazy, but it was only thanks to his Jimin that he was able to feel normal, to feel human.

It took less than a second for his sanity to helplessly drown in an ocean full of nameless emotions, leaving him addicted to the bittersweet taste of love.
There was no logic behind Jungkook's behavior, everything he did was solely based on the twisted desire to love and be loved by Jimin.

But like everything, even happiness has its price.

The deeper he fell, the greater his fears grew.
If being in love felt like heaven, then falling out of it must be hell and Jungkook knew for sure that he wouldn't survive that.

The very thought of losing the love of his life was enough to send chills down his spine.

Jimin's pov:

Jimin has been feeling pretty down lately.

Ever since Jungkook decided to get a part-time job, he's been too busy with work to tease him like he normally would.

Sure, a part of Jimin was relieved that he finally had more space, but at the same time he realized that his heart wanted something completely different than his head.

He was too spoiled with constant affection that he forgot what it felt like to not be the center of Jungkook's attention.

Now that he was no longer keeping him company, he noticed that his little room was suddenly too big for one person.
Has it always been this cold or has he never noticed the temperature before because he had the luxury of snuggling up against Jungkook's body to warm up whenever he wanted?

He didn't know, or better said he didn't want to know.

Why did Jungkook even think that a part-time job would be a great idea?
It's not like he needed that money anyways.

Jimin was kind enough to offer him free accommodation, and he didn't plan on changing that, so why did Jungkook decide to leave him alone?

"Stupid bunny"

Jungkook's pov:

Jungkook has never been as grateful for Taehyung's infatuation with Tzuyu as he was the moment he accidentally overheard them talking about Jimin's upcoming birthday.

At first he was delighted with the opportunity to surprise Jimin with something memorable, but then he remembered that he was in fact for the first time in his life broke.

Desperate times lead to desperate measure, and that's why he decided to jump over his own shadow and look for a work place.

Luckily for him being a Jeon has its perks, like getting a cashier job with no matching qualifications or any motivation.

But while it was relatively easy for him to get hired, the work itself couldn't be more boring.

Don't get him wrong, he was good at pretending to be friendly and he certainly enjoyed the attention he got, but that didn't change how much he hated being away from his sweetheart.
It's been already 2 weeks since he started working and he's regretting his decision every single day.

Should he just quit?

But what about Jimin's birthday?, no, he had to stay strong.

He couldn't help but wonder what Jimin was up to, wheter he missed him just as much as Jungkook did.

He felt seriously bad for neglecting him for weeks, but what else was he supposed to do?

*sigh*
