Jungkook's pov:

The moment Jungkook finally got home; all he wanted was to cuddle with his jimin.

He tried to sneak as quietly as possible into the dark apartment giving his best not to accidentally wake Jimin up when he suddenly heard a voice.

"You're late ... again" exclaimed Jimin angrily, who waited the whole day for Jungkook to come back.

"Woah, you scared the hell out of me" whispered Jungkook extremely startled by his presence, since he assumed that Jimin was already soundly asleep.
"And why are you still awake? Aren't you tired, sweetheart?" asked Jungkook worried as he took Jimin lovingly in his arms.

"You shouldn't stay up too late" added the male while placing a wet kiss on the smaller one's cheek.

"Why do you even bother asking? It's not like you would care about me anyway."

Call him petty, but he was still mad at Jungkook for his sudden change of heart and a little sass couldn't hurt, right?

"You know that that's not true. You are and always will be my priority" assured the teenager, who calmly tried to express his love as best as possible.

"Then why are you always working? And what for?"

"I can't tell you..." answered Jungkook truthfully. He'd love to tell Jimin that everything he did was for his sake, but he also didn't want to ruin the big surprise.

"Why not?!"

"I just... i just can't"

"You're such an idiot!"
Jimin puffed his cheeks out in anger, making him look even more adorable than usual (if that was possible).

"From today on you're not allowed to hug me anymore and if you don't stop being an ass I'll throw you out" threatened Jimin as he retreated to his room.

Ouch. That hurt.

If he hadn't felt bad before, he sure did now.

Was this his 'lover's' way to show him how much he missed him? Could it be that Jimin was one of those infamous Tsundere-kind of people that Taehyung couldn't stop gushing about?"

Just as he was about to follow him to apologize, he heard someone enter the apartment; - alerting him.

"I finally found you"

He didn't even pretend to suppress his irritation as soon as his gaze landed on his mother.

"What are you doing here? If this is about father, just go. I'm not in the mood for another fight."

The woman sighed before shaking her head. "I guess it can't be helped that you would think of me that way but what would you say if I told you that I was genuinely worried about you?" asked Aera amused.

"Can you stop this bullshit and tell me what you really want?"

"You're still as cold as ever" teased Mrs. Jeon her son before explaining why she was looking for him.

"I know that it wasn't you. You would never do anything as stupid as risking your own future for nothing."

"And? What about it? You and I may know the truth, but what does it matter? "

"I don't know wheter I should be happy or sad about the fact that you inherited my stubbornness, but this is not the time for false cockiness. Do you perhabs know someone called Yoongi? "

"Yeah, I do. Why are you asking?"

"He was the one who set you up. I'm still not sure as to why he did it since he won't benefit from your father's affairs but you don't have to worry; I'm on your side. I'll make sure that both your father and that kid get what they deserve."
