Juliana had her motorcycle helmet under her arm, as Paul was whining about her leaving now, and she kicked him in the side of the leg, and at the sudden pain, he yelled a bit.
"Sorry, not sorry. Paul, I will be fine just trust me, please?" She asked and he looked at her with a sigh, as he was walking her over to the bike.
"I just don't see why it's you of all of the werewolves in the... our pack, that have to go with Jacob over there, to go and see Bella Swan, and bloodsuckers, on their territory... I am honestly... just worried for you." He said, as she looks at him with a grim smile.
"I will be okay, Lahote. Just trust me, I won't be there to start a fight. I'm only there to stop Jacob, from phasing, into a wolf in front of everyone in the high school in Forks. I'll be okay." She said, and he sighed quietly, as he pointed at her helmet.
"Really?" He asked and she rolled her eyes at him quickly, and punched him in the arm.
"You should be wearing the helmet dummy, not me." She said and he rolls his eyes, as she pulled the helmet onto her head and walked over to her bike.
She kick-started it quickly and Jacob did the same to his own motorcycle as they rode off together, headin' toward the Forks High School.
They smelled Edward at once, as the vampire's familiar odor stunk up their noses, but Juliana was determined not to show it, in front of Edward or Bella, as a show of respect, as much as she'd be able to manage.
"Hey." Bella says quietly to both of them, although it was clear who she was actually talking to, and it was not Juliana.
"Hey yourself." Juliana said with a grim half-smile, but Jacob was right into accusation mode, and virtually in his case, with no stopping for a 'hello'.
"Charlie said you left town." His tone of voice was no-nonsense and hollow, as he tried to hide his emotion, and he ended up only succeeding in looking a lot like Sam.
"Yeah. To visit my mom. Why?" Bella asked, suddenly on the defensive and a scoff came from Edward.
"He's checking to see if you are still human. As to why Juliana is here, I'm not sure exactly, why the older of you two is here... is Paul having an off-day or something?" Edward asked and she clenched her fists at once, nails diggin' into her palms.
"Look, I'm here to warn you." Jacob interrupted, stepping toward Edward quickly, as Juliana swiftly regained, at once, some much needed control over herself. "If your kind come on any of our land again..." Jacob threatened, as he left the threat hanging in the air.
"Wait, what?" Bella asked, and Edward looked annoyed at Jacob and Juliana, as Juliana stared evenly back at him, unwillin' to show how much it put in perspective for her of her much more attuned impression of the mind reading, Cullen vampire.
"He didn't tell you, that his big... brother crossed the line Saturday night?" Jacob questioned of Bella, his expression indicating that he already knew the answer. "Paul was totally justified in--"
"It was, no-man's land!" Edward hissed at Jacob's stubborn words and Juliana scoffed.
"No, it wasn't. The river, on either side between the banks is some of the none so many no man's land around here in our territory, Edward Cullen. We'd know, Sam knows the boundaries, all over here and everywhere else." She said coldly.
"Emmett and Paul?" Bella whispered and Juliana was surprised by it, havin' nearly forgotten that she was there in their vicinity of hearing, what of their conversation. "What happened? Were they fighting?" Her vocal tone... it was now straining higher, to keep up, with the tones of panic. "Why? Did Paul get hurt?" Bella asks and Juliana chuckled at Bella's apparent concern over Paul.
"Emmett and Paul had a misunderstanding. It's nothing to worry about." Edward said and at once, a scoff came from both of the two Blacks.
"Listen to you." Jacob snapped at Edward, just quietly enough, so that everyone around them couldn't hear anything. "Did you lie to get her out of town, too?" Jacob snapped.
"You two should just leave. Now." The mind-reading Cullen vampire was the furious as they had ever seen him in a history, and Juliana growls, her phone in hand.
"She has a right to know." Juliana stated coldly to Edward, her phone flipped open, and now, fully prepared to dial the familiar number, if needed.
"She is the one the redhead wants." It was like a ball was dropped, as Bella's face was shocked.
"Let's go, Jacob. She clearly doesn't want to speak to you or me, she just wants to stay on her side of the lines, with the bloodsucker." Juliana said as loudly as she dared, as Bella looked at her.
"Hang on." Bella said and Juliana tossed her helmet at her, and Jacob caught it for her, and Juliana kicked her bike to start it, and they drove off toward the boundary lines, and... into La Push.
