Chapter 37

Angie's POV

I was done with my numerous research after hours.
'Alyssa must be hungry' I thought. I couldn't believe I had barely slept and I had left Alyssa on her own for two days and I prayed that maybe Bertha would've given her something to eat. I had my bath and dressed up quickly avoiding the mirror so I wouldn't have to see how bad I looked.

I sped to the hospital praying silently that Alyssa had followed my instruction. When I got to the hospital I hurried out of my car and ran to Alyssa's ward quicky but when I got there she was nowhere to be found.

'Oh my God.'
I began asking around if anyone had seen her as my heart started beating faster than normal. I almost screamed when Bertha was on her bed the previous night. But I had to calm down. Maybe she went to see Ben. She was good at sneaking around.

Breathing in and out I went out of the ward and down the stairs heading to Ben's ward before I was stopped by Louis....and Mary.

I was nervous as hell but managed to keep a neutral face.

"We aren't here to harm you", Louis said as though he read my mind.
"How may I help you", I said struggling to keep calm.

Louis didn't waste time launching into the story of how he knows my mum and dad and how he's my step brother and how Mary is just the adopted one and how everything is just so complicated.

"We really shouldn't be talking about this here", I said after listening to what he had to say.

"Let's go to his office then", Mary said harshly and though this was the first thing she said since she and Louis came to me I figured she wasn't in the best of moods. Maybe she was on shock and trying to deal with how everything is now.

We went over to Louis' office and I dropped the bomb.  "Alyssa is missing". I made sure I made it sound like it was their faults because they added to the complications of this case.

"Leave that thing out of this", Mary snapped back making my jaw drop open. I was about to shout at her that it was her daughter we were dealing with here buy Louis cut in, "she's under a love spell but she doesn't believe she is".

"I am not under a love spell", Mary shouted.
"What love spell?" I asked really confused. Louis went ahead to explain that he casted a love spell on Mary and now she wouldn't just snap out of it. I wanted to scream his head of for making matters worse but he cut me off again. "Let's not waste time shouting at ourselves. Let's find a way to help both Mary and Alyssa".
"I don't need help!" Mary snapped back.

Alyssa's POV

I woke up to find out I was in the middle of nowhere. My head hurt badly and the lights of the nowhere land was just too bright.

"Alyssa!"

I turned to see Lizzy hugging briefly then my memories began rushing back to me. I tried getting up but I fell back down. I was chained.

"Why am I chained?"

Instead of answering my question she started laughing. "Why are you laughing Lizzy? I'm chained and it hurts"

"You are spoiling the show already that's why I'm laughing you senseless brat!"

"I don't understand", I said weakly but she continued laughing then snap! She disappeared

What???!!!
I saw two bodies walking up to me laughing. At first I thought vision was playing tricks with me but when the bodies came close enough I knew it was no trick. I was trapped in the room with the master and Vivian.

"Oh pretty girl you are just too smart. The problem is you aren't smart enough", Vivian said stroking my cheek and I really wished I could bite her fingers off.

"What did you do to Elizabeth and Ben?!!!" I said trying to scream but it didn't come out as planned. The two looked at each other for a while then looked back at me and started laughing. The master then walked off to God knows where leaving me alone with Vivian who immediately stopped smiling immediately the master was out of sight, her eyes boring into mine. I wanted so badly to pee in my pants because she looked too scary but I sat strong staring into her abnormal eyes. Her eye balls were a light shade of brown and her pupils were deep green and it looked disgusting.

"Lizzy and Ben are my puppets dear. They don't actually exist", she said before bursting into laughter again. My heart started beating fast. My only friends in the spirit world never actually existed. They were puppets for an evil person. That means the letter and everything was all a trick.

She stopped laughing abruptly and said, "and you my dear will soon be my little puppet but first I'd like to sew you eyes and mouth. Puppets don't stare back at their mistress' eyes and talk back at her too".

Angie's POV

Mary wouldn't let us think straight. She was busy confessing her undying love for Louis which was pretty pissing me off and I really wanted to slap her right in the face. I and Louis had to tie her to her seat so at least she wouldn't jump around the whole place.

"You have to undo this live spell right now Louis", I said when I had had enough of Mary's noise.

"That could cost me my life".

"You know you have to save Alyssa's life and you really can't do that with this sorta Mary around and in case you didn't notice I don't care if you die. So you really don't have an option now".

Questions for y'all: why do you think Alyssa couldn't read all this while that both Lizzy and Ken were puppets all this while?and even in this chapter??

Do you think Angie was too harsh on Louis???
