Truth

I woke up feeling disoriented. Masakit ang ulo ko hanggang batok. My vision is still a little bit blurry but I managed to take a look around. My hands are tied. The room is poorly lit. Wala ni isang bintana. Just a door a few meters away from me.

I tried to move but I just ended up groaning. Heck, I feel like I've been punched all over my body. Ang sakit ng katawan ko!

"You okay, Nyssa?"

Halos mapatalon ako sa gulat nang marinig iyon. It's Colton! He's here too!

"Nope. You?" I asked in a strained voice.

"I'm fine. Maybe the dosage of your poison was a little bit higher. Kanina pa ako gising."

"Are you sure you're fine?"

"Yeah..."

I sighed. That's good.

"Any idea what happened and where we are?"

My senses are dull. I can't think properly. Hindi maganda 'to. The poison got me so bad.

"We've been kidnapped, that's for sure. And I think we're in a yacht. Malakas ang alon kanina kaya ako nagising."

"Okay... Can you swim?"

"What?"

"You heard me."

"Are you crazy?"

Napairap ako. "We need to get out of here. Marunong ka bang lumangoy? Kasi kung hindi, hindi tayo makakaalis dito."

"I can swim but that's suicide. Even for you."

"Better than staying here waiting to get killed."

Kung sino man ang kumuha sa amin, nakasisiguro ako na marami sila ngayon. I don't fancy our chances of survival if I am to face them all. Nanghihina ako at walang armas. Colton can't fight. And Greg... where the hell is he? Wala siya rito sa silid.

"There are guards outside. I heard their heavy footsteps."

"So we take out a few guards... Run like hell towards the railings, jump and swim fast."

I knew we wouldn't be safe outside Origen. Mas malala pa ngayon dahil nagkatotoo ang pakiramdam ko! We've been kidnapped with only limited shots at survival. Nakakainis naman 'to.

"No, we won't do that."

"What are we going to do, then?"

"Wait for rescue. My tracker is broken but my last known location is too far from Origen. My guards will look for me."

"How long would it take?"

"An hour, I think."

"Ang tagal naman? A lot can happen in that time frame. Where are your guards?"

"Origen."

"May chopper kayo?"

"Aiden took it. If we're gonna be rescued, my guards will have to sneak in."

Hindi ko gusto ang ideyang iyon. It's so easy for his guards to be spotted. Malayo pa lang. It's open waters, after all. Mahihirapan silang makalapit sa yate.

"Damn it. They took my guns."

I don't rely that much on weapons pero dahil baldado ako ngayon, kailangan. And how lucky am I that my weapons have been stripped? Fuck this.

I closed my eyes to steady my breathing. Kaunting salita ko lang, hinihingal na ako. My body won't fully function until I get rest or something to counter the poison. At mukha ngang totoo ang hinala ni Colton dahil sa aming dalawa, mukhang ako lang ang nanghihina ngayon. He doesn't seem pained or tired.
