           This was a very special moment for (Y/N), days after the disaster that almost devastated Liyue, in a very surprising and unexpected way Zhongli approached her during work hours to ask her a simple question. This was nothing out of the ordinary since (Y/N) was his assistant, the strange thing was what their boss asked her. Although it was none of Zhongli's business, by mere coincidence he ran into them a few times when (Y/N) was taking a break in the port after finishing her workday; her feet were in the water while they let the arms of the sun hug her body, it was quite relaxing. It was an activity that he had never experienced, so after quitting his job as the Geo Archon he decided to approach them and ask if she could take him with her on one of those escapades of hers to the sea. This took his assistant by total surprise, almost every time they saw each other was for work matters or to chat a bit about history, although in those talks it was more Zhongli teaching her about things that they had no idea ever happened.

           The veil of moonlight was reflected on the sea of Liyue Harbor, she finished her work a little bit later than usual that day, but (Y/N) had promised to take him to relax the day after he requested it. The gentle waves came back and forth, his assistant took off their shoes and rolled up her pants so they wouldn't get wet, she immediately dipped their feet in the water, it was a little bit cold, but it felt nice. Then (Y/N) asked their boss to do the same, who seemed to pay full attention to their every movement to replicate it almost exactly, he didn't want to miss a single detail of that unusual moment of relaxation. His assistant let herself be carried away by the melody of the sea and got lost in the eyes of the dark sky, it was like going into a trance, everything disappeared except that place and moment. Zhongli did the same, (Y/N) didn't take long to look at him and see how he reacted to this new experience, they could see how his profile was perfectly outlined by the light of the port lanterns and covered with the brightness of the moon as if it was a cloak; the spume of the white-capped waves caressed his feet, (Y/N) could also see the stars in his honey eyes. He looked like a divine being, but at the same time, for some strange reason at that moment, Zhongli seemed more... human.

           She have flushed completely and quickly looked away when being discovered staring intently at him rather than at the landscape in front of them, but that wasn't the case. When their eyes connected it seemed like feelings that they didn't know they have begun to bloom like flowers in spring. Little by little they wanted to get closer to each other as if they were magnetically attracted. Due to the height difference, Zhongli leaned down a little, their lips brushed gently for a moment, but the kiss wasn't fulfilled because the Archon's assistant looked away when realizing what was happening. The dark brown-haired man didn't say a word, he seemed composed as always, although a lot was going on in his mind.

           That night at shore, they fell in love.
