We made our way to Elisa's healers which was states away. I know, why not just use our vampire speed? We would be there in seconds. Well, Elisa was to the point to where she was too weak to run like that. To be honest, I'm scared she might die. Anyway, we were in Riker's car, heading to Michigan. Ross would not let us even stop to stay at a hotel, he was that worried. Which I couldn't blame him.

"Are we almost there?" Ross asked with nervousness shaking his voice.

"Ross, we are at the edge of Illinois. We're getting there as fast as we can." Riker said, driving as fast as we could.

"It isn't fast enough!" Ross complained.

I looked at the back seat at Ross. Elisa, by this point, was passed out on Ross' shoulder. "We've managed to cross the country within three days and we haven't been pulled over even though Riker has his foot to the floor board. I think we're going pretty fast. Does her healer know we are coming anyway?" I asked.

"She should, I'll call again." He called and talked to her for a while.

"Riker, turn left here instead of fully going into Michigan. Her house is down that dirt road." Riker sighed loudly.

"Good thing you called, could've given me a heads up though." He turned onto the dirt road and we were still driving for about five minutes. It was silent until Ross started to worry.

"Elisa? No. Nononono, Riker hurry up!" He shouted.

"What's happening?" I asked as Riker sped up.

"She's barely breathing. The material from the metal must be flowing through her bloodstream already." I could see her body tensing up over and over again.

Suddenly the car came to a complete stop. In front of us was a small wooden cabin, nicely decorated. Not soon after, I saw Ross running in with Elisa in his arms. I looked over at Riker before we both headed in.

Ross was in the main room alone. He turned to us, "She had me bring Elisa into her medical room. She said that no one should bother with Elisa until she gets better." He finished before walking outside. The healer walked in and took a glance at me and Riker.

"I just hooked her up to a machine that shall take the metal out of her blood. She won't awake for a few days. You can stay in the guest rooms until then." She said nicely.

She was an elderly woman with brown hair, some grey showing at the top, and soft green eyes. She looked withered, but you could tell by looking into her eyes, she was a very powerful person.

We accepted what she said and I walked outside to find Ross. I saw him heading towards the woods. I quickly followed to catch up. "Ross!"

"I don't know what I'm going to do." I heard him mumble.

"What are you talking about? She's going to make it. Her healer even said." I argued.

He quickly stopped and turned around, making me run into him. "You saw how I was when she was gone one afternoon. Now I have to wait days and I can't even look at her those days. Plus......what if it doesn't go well? I couldn't live without her, I love her with all my heart." Ross sat down on a log and put his head in his hands.

"Ross listen, everything will be alright. Elisa seemed pretty confident about her healer and after Elisa is back to normal, I will be able to be trained as the secret 'weapon' and we can take my father down before our whole family lives happily ever after." He looked up with tears in his eyes.

"Are you sure?"

"Positive."

Ross finally stood up before we headed back to the cabin. Ready to start the climax of this story.
