-chapter 21-
The black-haired beauty is back.
I see her sitting next to Prongs, Moony and, surprisingly, Wormtail. Her long hair is in a high ponytail, dangling down her back and bouncing up and down when she laughs. God. She's so beautiful.
She turns her head slightly, and jumps up in surprise when her eyes meet mine. Her grey eyes. Not blue. The only thing I truly love about her, she kept the same.
She races over to me, and jumps at me, hugging me around the neck tightly. I hug her back, taking a deep breath of her hair. It smells like coconuts.
"Ohmygod," she says in one quick breath in my ear. "You're alive."
"Of course I'm alive, silly," I say, sitting her down so she's on her feet again. "Why wouldn't I be?"
"It just... You didn't move at all when you were out. I tried to wake you, but you didn't ever move or anything. The only movement I noticed was your shallow breathing and then I started to talk to you, thinking it would help, but I guess it didn't." She breathes deeply. "I guess I was just worried."
"You shouldn't be worried about me," I say. "I should be worried about you." I flick her ponytail.
She laughs. "Like it?"
"A little," I admit. "I'm glad you kept your eyes."
"Me too," she says.
She looks down at her feet, fidgeting with her hands. I tilt her chin up slightly.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"Nothing." She says too quickly.
"Come on," I say. "I know something's wrong. Wanna talk about it? ROR?"
She nods her head. I grab her hand. I look over my shoulder at the rest of the Marauders. Prongs is smirking at me, Moony has a slight smile on his face and Wormtail is staring at his plate.
I wink at Prongs and Moony before tugging Logan/Astrid to the ROR. As soon as the wall comes into view, a door appears. I open it and step in.
My room. At the Potter's. Not the Black's.
Astrid/Logan looks around. She doesn't say anything; she's being observant.
"Is this your room?"
"Yeah," I say. "Don't you remember Christmas break?"
"I couldn't see anything," she says. "It was dark in there."
I nod my head, leading her over to my bed. I sit down, pulling her down with me.
"So, I ask the questions, and you answer them honestly," I say. "Okay?"
"Okay." She says.
"First question," I lay back on my bed, my head resting in my hands. "What should I call you?"
"Logan," she says. "You're the only one I want calling me that. No one else has read the letter from my mum." She lays back besides me.
"Not even Lily?"
"Nope." Logan says, popping the 'p'.
"Now, onto the real question we came here to discuss," I say. "What's the matter?"
"Everything," she says softly, her voice barely a whisper.
"What?" I say, sitting up. She sits up, her shoulders hunched forward.
"Everything," she says louder, but this time with a sigh. "My family, my friends, my feelings, my brain, my love life."
"Your love life?" I ask. "I didn't know you had one." I'm half kidding, half serious. (No pun intended.)
She takes it seriously. "Sirius, I'm serious."
"I thought I was," I joke.
She looks up at me through those mesmerizing grey eyes of hers. "Can you please be actually serious for one minute, please?"
I start to say something, but she cuts me off. "Please?" I nod my head.
"My whole life is messed up," she says. "I don't know where my real family is. I don't know what I'm going to do after school is over, and I have absolutely no idea where I'm going to live."
"You could live with me," I say.
Logan's POV:
What did he just say? I could live with him? "What?"
"I-umm..." Sirius stutters. He clears his throat. "I just, you know, thought that since I was planning on getting a house by myself after I'm done with school, you could just, maybe, you know, possibly live with me...?" His voice goes higher at the end of the sentence.
I gape at him. He was serious. No, not Sirius Sirius, but actually serious. He wants me to live with him after school.
I can't believe it. I lunge at Sirius, tackling him in a hug. We fall back onto the bed, still hugging each other. I land on top of Sirius, my head resting on his chest.
I put my hands next to Sirius's head, pushing myself up a bit. I look Sirius in the eyes, "Are you serious?"
"Of course," he says. "Sirius Orion Black III, in fact." I laugh.
"But Sirius," I say. "Why do you want me to live with you? I'm a mess."
"I don't care," Sirius says. "You have no where to go, so I just figured I'd be nice and ask you-"
"Right, I get it. It means a lot to me, Sirius, that you care so much." I smile. He smiles back.
"Well," I say. "I should probably get going. Classes probably already started." I stand up, Sirius just sitting up on the bed. "I'll see you later, okay?" I walk towards the door.
"Logan, wait." Sirius says. I turn around, facing him.
"Yes...?"
"I heard what you said to me," he says. "When I was in the hospital wing. About your feelings."
Oh.
My.
God.
I knew I shouldn't have said anything.
"Cool." I say dryly.
"I just... wanted to tell you that I feel the same way." My eyes widen.
"What?"
"I really like you, Log." (The 'o' is long. So it's pronounced like your saying Logan but without the "an".)
Next thing I know, his hands are gently resting on my waist, his lips against mine.
Sirius's POV:
Her lips are soft; just how I imagined them to be. She's stunned, I can tell. At first, she just stands there, most likely not sure what to do. Then she kisses back, wrapping her arms around my neck, bringing me closer to her. Electric currents flow through my body, making me shiver.
I kiss Logan passionately. She runs her hand through my hair, making me shiver once more under her touch.
My hands move on their own; one stays resting on her hip, while the other trails up her side, making her tremble slightly.
She pulls away, resting her forehead on mine. "Sirius," she says, out of breath.
"Yeah?"
She looks up at me, her eyes sparkling. "See you tomorrow." She pecks my lips and leaves me standing in the replica of my bedroom, grinning like a mad-man.
{A/N: They kissed. Who saw it coming? I didn't. But I figured it was time to get some action between the two. Hehe. 😏
Sirius question now: Should I do authors notes after every chapter?
